This week we celebrated Substitute Teacher Week. We would like to give a special shout out to Mrs. Shedrick our permanent substitute in our school. Her dedication, flexibility and commitment to education and our students is simply admirable!

For 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students @BarwellRdES the weather was mostly clear. They received their first alert to kick off Career Week and spent time with @KweilynMurphyTV from WTDV learning how to use technology and tools to predict the weather forecast. BEAR news alerts coming!

Lately, have been busy for students @BarwellRdES. Some have fun in the First and Fitness competition; @MJohnsonHostler visited and volunteered for WakeUp & Read, first-grade cubs went on a field trip to the farm, and parents came to a Title I night event. BRES is busy as a bee!

What’s happening @BarwellrdES! Science projects were Astro-ordinary. Our community of scientists and mathematicians are applying academic vocabulary and math strategies every day. We are working hard to perform at the highest level for EOGs. We are unstoppable! @WCPSS

Physical education is an integral part of learning. Our students @BarwellRDES are wrapping up their unit about hockey. We want to give a shout out and big thanks to @Canes for donating bags with reversible jerseys, hockey goals, sticks and pucks.

@BarwellrdEs An all time favorite quote from the painter Paul Klee, “A line is a dot that went for a walk.” inspired our vibrant community of students. Our school walls have the most precious art gallery exhibit in all @WCPSS Thank you Ms.Abdullah to teach through the lens of art
