In the stands, a H.S. parent complains to anyone who will listen that his kid isn't playing much.
Another parent: "Team is 15-2, Top 5 in the state, winning the league."
Response: "I don't care about that."
And there you have it.
For some parents, it's never about the team.

I coach varsity H.S. baseball and travel ball… and I’d take H.S. baseball every single time.
The school pride.
The community.
The rivalries.
The pressure to win.
The packed playoff games.
Playing for your town.
In my eyes H.S. baseball just means more.

My dad makes everyone around him better, that being his players or our family. He brings out the best in everyone, because he expects the most. He’s a great coach, but an even better husband, father, christian, and role model to my brother and I. To 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ wins! Love you dad!
