Its A Great Day To Be A Rider!
The Gillette Roughriders hosted the undefeated Sturgis Brown Scoopers Wednesday in two seven inning doubleheaders. They won the first game, 8-4, thanks to the efforts of Riley Hawk and Caisen Schilling, but they dropped the second game 4-2.

Last season, in mid-June the Gillette Roughriders were 26-22 and had lost nine of their last 12 games, but after a win on June 21, their whole season changed.

If the Roughriders want to make some noise yet again late in July and in early August, it starts with the top of their lineup, all of which started last season for the state-winning team.

Best players I've coached had a lot in common:
- They were coached hard & didn't get feelings hurt
- They wanted to be held to highest expectation
- They were upset when they weren't coached
- They demanded best out of teammates
- They weren't soft
- They'd do anything to win
