In the 2026 Battle of the Plainfields, Andrew Bena was a one man gang on the mound this past Friday-hurling 6 shut out innings w/10 K’s which contributed immensely to the squad advancing to the semi finals. Andrew picked up where the Maestro before him left off. No stranger to the big stage, or to the Maestro Cloak, Andrew proved once again he has exactly what it takes to recognized as a True Maestro of the Diamond.
The Tigers will face the #1 seed Chatham in the semis on Weds after defeating the NoPlfd Canucks 7-0. Andrew Bena was superb - tossing a 4 hit / 10 k shutout in the 6 frames he worked for his 4th W of the season & also had an rbi double. Joe Stanzione (2-2 2b 3rbi bb) opened up the scoring for the Tigers in the 2nd w a base clearing double. Aiden McCarthy, Chris Loniewski, & Ed Budzinski led the offense 2 hits a piece.
The Blue Oyster Cult had the cow bell and the SP Tigers have the Bull Horns. Aiden McCarthy was given the game 1 assignment & performed the way the Tiger fans all around the world tuned in to watch had hoped for- a CG 12 K shutout +adding a knock, scoring a few runs, swiping a bag & ultimately doing what he needed to help the squad advance. For his work- Aiden “The Bull” McCarthy has once again proven to be a True Maestro of the Diamond.
Survive and Advance!! Aiden “The Bull” McCarthy was business as usual on the bump, picking up his 7th and biggest W of the season, advancing the Tigers to the next round. The Bull (1-1 2b rbi 2 r 2bb sb) had himself a nice day at office which included complete game 3h 12 k performance. Dom Massaro reached the 50 hit mark and scored 2x. Andrew Bena had a 2rbi knock and Andrew Burns also had 2 hits. Up next is No Plainfield on Friday - 3pm start time.
Like a professor of a classroom, Aiden Kaplan certainly had everyone at full attention on Senior Night. Despite multiple cancellations due to mother nature, he was all business once the weather cleared. In true Maestro fashion, Aiden took to the hill, went 6 deep, putting his team in a position to win the day in front of a capacity packed crowd, proving to the Tiger faithful. he is a True Maestro of the Diamond.
The Tigers defeated Middlesex 7-1. Starter Aiden Kaplan handled business and picked up his 2nd W on the season (6ip 6k 1r). Dom Massaro (1-2 rbi 2 sb 2bb 3 r) was key in getting the Tigers on the board. Aiden McCarthy (1-1 rbi bb) Alex Pigna (1-2 r rbi) Gabe Garcia (1-1 bb r) also factored into the offensive mix. Well done seniors and thank you for your hard work and dedication for these past 4 years. On to the States!!!

Our newest Maestro is no stranger to pressure situations. Hard work preparation, and experience is a formula for one to handle business come crunch time & Gabe Garcia certainly proved that on Wednesday in the crunchiest of crunches. Not only did he drive in the would be winning run in the 6th, w the game hanging in the balance he brought order out of chaos and caught a stray bulldog off guard to seal the victory for the Tigers. For his efforts Gabe Garcia has proven to be a True Maestro of the Diamond.
