@AdamRubinESPN @NYMetsandJets - Jerry Koosman should have his 36 up there one day too....

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

#36 Led Mets to Two WS.
Mets won all 6 of his postseason games.
Won 2 of 4 69 #miraclemets WS wins.

#36 before #31 https://t.co/p1RioJ8hiw

[Mike Vaccaro @MikeVacc]

@jwellingtonpeev Fair question. He did have very good years with the Mets, led them to a WS, going into Cooperstown w a Mets hat

[Robert Z ✡️ @Rob_Z_31]

@MikeVacc retire a manager who has a terrible winning %. Sometimes franchise value goes beyond statistics.

[Robert Z ✡️ @Rob_Z_31]

@MikeVacc I understand but I think most fans realize the record has a lot more to do with awful teams than the player. Also as you said they

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

#JerryKoosman made @Mets what they are today:
Won 69 bc of him.
Went 7 in 73 bc of him.
Had #JesseOrosco on mound in 86 bc of him #Retire36!

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

#36 WS record: 3-0; ERA 2.39
#41 WS record: 1-2; ERA 2.70
#16 WS record: 0-2; ERA 8.00 https://t.co/TuZXzUknj1

[Mike Vaccaro @MikeVacc]

@Rob_Z_31 Badly wanted to include 36 and I'd be on board. But 140-137 record, regardless of context, I can see if its a tough sell

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

It's actually 144-137 (need to include 69,73 postseasons - pretty imp games he won). Compare 36,41 WS performances. https://t.co/TuZXzUknj1

@MikeVacc Do you know the names of the 4 writers who voted for #Koosman for #HOF in 1991? #4writers

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

Where are they now? #JerryKoosman https://t.co/MGQoFrZkx0 article should remind @RichSandomir his #5 flew out vs #36 for final out in 69.

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

What all true Met fans should be wearing to games. https://t.co/UfksMJpvBU

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

Finally!!! Someone who gets where to start!!! https://t.co/E2gohh2qqZ

[Peter G. @PeterNY15]

@MikeVacc Don't think Carter was on team long enough. My vote in order 36, 17, 16, 18. Wright should also but he's still playing

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

Thank you @MikeVacc #Retire36 #JerryKoosman #36

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

Thank you. Need help with this. The way Koosman was treated by Mets, MLB & #HOFvoters (4 votes) was horrible. https://t.co/9A0dByWgOX

[Mike Vaccaro @MikeVacc]

@BaseballTribune I'd be on board with that one too.

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

Another #NYsportswriter @richsandomir ignores #JerryKoosman #36 #Retire36 (Johnson b4 Kooz?) https://t.co/DvLzMIcK3u

[Baseball Tribune @BaseballTribune]

How in the world is #36 not in this article by @MikeVacc? #Retire36 https://t.co/Tib6uePhdM

[Mike Vaccaro @MikeVacc]

Column: now that the #Mets will finally add another retired number to the wall, here are a few others to ponder. https://t.co/iwThafbwzs
