@Casualty01@TheIsoleucine@Dfajaredtriolo Ya I don’t get how people of small market teams especially aren’t getting this point. With a floor and local tv $ revenue sharing, that could be a pretty significant boost.
@rizzosarge@LakedogX2@MLB Floor would need increased revenue sharing tho no? If the little teams have to spend more they could use some of the tv money from LA & New York etc
@rizzosarge@LakedogX2@MLB Ya I thought if Dodgers won, as much as I can’t stand them, that’d help the small market team’s argument a lot. Not that a cap and floor still couldn’t happen if a small market teams wins this year but it will make it a lot tougher.
@rizzosarge@LakedogX2@MLB Ya Brewers are good. Rizzo isn’t saying that. Just would be sucky timing for a small market team to win right before a big chance to help even the playing field for the MLB.
@jaycrosstweets@ihatethecap@_NoahHiles Since the year 2000, only 4 of the 26 WS champs were from small market teams. So the big markets are currently winning at an almost 85% clip. The Rays do have a well run front office that puts them in a nice spot. Saying TB beating the NYY means it’s all even tho is just wrong.
@Mikey5Aces While I 100% would trade Keller to clear his money (who would take him rn is the question tho), one could argue clearing Reynolds money to be spent better •could• make some sense too. I do like Bryan tho. .720 OPS in 2025 to .789 in 2026 is definitely an improvement.
