I could debunk this biblically. I could talk about Romans 11. I could talk about its everlasting covenants. I could tell you the deliveror shall come from Zion. I could debunk replacement theology, and I have just look at my articles section.

But none of that matters because the people who espouse these beliefs, don’t care about the Bible. They think that God’s word can be manipulated to mean whatever they wanted to mean in the moment.

But here’s why you know they’re dead wrong. The Jewish people have survived a 35 centuries of persecution.

The Jewish people, never more than 0.2% of humanity, have survived 3,500 years of systematic persecution by every major empire in recorded history: Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, and Nazi.

Pharaoh tried.

Haman tried.

Hitler tried with the full machinery of a modern industrial state and murdered six million and still, Israel exists.

Every single empire that made their destruction a priority is gone. The Amalekites are gone.

The Philistines are gone.

Rome is gone.

The Third Reich lasted twelve years.

The Jewish people are still here 15 million strong, back in their ancestral homeland, speaking their ancient language, the same people, the same book, the same God outlasting every sword ever raised against them across 35 centuries of unbroken existence.

What does that mean for us as Christians? It means you take the word of God literally. It means you look to Christ’s character to determine how you are to behave in this world.

It means that just because we don’t understand God’s redemptive plan for the Jewish people, it does not mean He doesn’t have one.

It means that what He said in Genesis still stands. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse. It means Romans 11 is prophecy.

The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.

And their existence proves it.

Every empire that cursed them is gone. Every ideology that tried to erase them is ash. And the Jewish people are still here 15 million strong, in their land, speaking their language, the same people, the same book, the same God.

So for us as Christians, the conclusion is not complicated.

We know salvation comes through Christ alone. We know there is a redemptive plan for the Jewish people. We don’t know the fullness of it and it is not for us to know. What is for us to do is obey.

And we don’t obey out of fear. We don’t obey to earn what can never be earned. We obey out of gratitude. Out of love. Because we were handed a salvation we did nothing to deserve, paid for at a price we could never repay, by a God who keeps every promise He has ever made to us, and to them.

That is why we stand with Israel. Not as a political position. Not as a theological argument. But as an act of worship, the overflow of a heart that understands what it was given, and who gave it.

And standing with Israel does not mean standing behind every decision of every government. It means we are committed to truth, to knowing the difference between deception and reality, between the persecuted and the persecutor, between what is actually happening and what we are being told is happening.

God said it. History proved it. Grace compels it.

Our job is to pray for discernment, embody the character of Christ in this world and obey.

We all fall short of the glory of God. Hi glory is His character. But falling short doesn’t mean maligning His character in the process.

82 years ago today, eight American sailors jumped onto a sinking Nazi submarine in the middle of the Atlantic.

What they pulled out of it changed the war. And the Navy buried the whole story for years.

First, you need to know that U-505 was already cursed. German sailors called her the unluckiest boat in the fleet. In October 1943, during a brutal British depth-charge attack, her own captain shot himself in the head in the control room, in front of his crew. He remains the only submarine commander in history known to have killed himself underwater in combat. His second-in-command calmly took over, rode out the attack, and sailed her home.

Eight months later, her luck ran out completely.

June 4, 1944. Two days before D-Day. Captain Daniel Gallery's hunter-killer group, built around the escort carrier USS Guadalcanal, had been stalking U-boats off West Africa. Gallery had an idea his superiors considered borderline insane: don't sink the next one. Capture it. No US Navy crew had boarded and taken an enemy warship on the high seas since 1815.

The destroyer escort USS Chatelain caught U-505 on sonar and fired a salvo of hedgehog bombs. The U-boat broke the surface 700 yards away. Gunfire raked the conning tower, wounding her captain. He gave the order to abandon ship.

The Germans rushed out so fast they botched the scuttling. The sub was flooding, but her engines were still running. She was circling the battle at six knots, empty, sinking, and very possibly rigged with demolition charges.

So Lt. Albert David and eight men from USS Pillsbury chased her down in a whaleboat, leaped aboard, and climbed down the hatch into a dark, flooding submarine that could explode or go under at any second. They shut the scuttling valves, disarmed the charges, and stopped the flooding.

Down there they found the prize: Enigma cipher machines and roughly 900 pounds of codebooks and charts. Current settings. The keys to the German navy's secret communications.

But here's the catch. The treasure was only valuable if Germany never found out. One leak and Berlin changes every code overnight.

So the Navy ran one of the great cover-ups of the war. The sub was towed 1,700 miles to Bermuda and given a fake American name: USS Nemo. Around 3,000 sailors were sworn to total silence. The 58 captured German crewmen vanished into a POW camp in rural Louisiana, hidden even from the Red Cross. Germany declared U-505 lost with all hands and notified the families. The dead men were alive in Louisiana, and their boat was working for the US Navy.

The secret held until the war ended.

Lt. David received the Medal of Honor, the only one awarded in the Atlantic Fleet in all of WWII.

And the submarine? In 1954, Chicagoans raised $250,000 to bring her home. She was towed across Lake Michigan and dragged through the streets of Chicago to the Museum of Science and Industry.

She's still sitting there right now. You can walk through her.

The most misunderstood word in the Bible is submission.

Submission is not weakness. It’s also not control.

But the word submission just means under the mission of. So to submit is literally to place yourself under the mission not under a person’s ego or authority for its own sake, but under a shared divine purpose.

When Paul talks about wives submitting to husbands in Ephesians 5, he immediately grounds it in the larger mission husbands loving as Christ loved the church, sacrificially. Both are submitted to something bigger than themselves.

Even Jesus modeled it. In Gethsemane he said “not my will but yours be done” the Son submitting to the Father’s mission of redemption.

So true biblical submission isn’t about one person being lesser. It’s about everyone orienting themselves under the same purpose which is always God’s mission.

Submission is the greatest strength because it’s aligning yourself under the mission of God.

That is wisdom.

A free republic requires leaders capable of exercising restraint, but it also requires citizens willing to recognize reality.

The question is simple: after decades of threats, killings of troops, broken promises, and endless negotiations, what evidence exists that another meeting changes anything?

Peace is always preferable.

Pretending an adversary is one conference away from becoming Switzerland is not peace.

It’s Democrat fantasy.

The world is safer when America is respected. History repeatedly shows that weakness invites challenges while strength often prevents them.

BUTCH O'HARE and QUIET INTEGRITY. On February 20, 1942, a 28-year-old Navy pilot looked at his fuel gauge and realized someone had made a mistake.

His tank wasn't full. He didn't have enough fuel to complete the mission and return to the carrier.

His commander ordered him back immediately. Butch O'Hare turned around, frustrated, heading toward the ship alone.

Then he saw them.

A squadron of Japanese bombers racing toward the American fleet. The entire division was out on the mission. The fleet was defenseless.

Butch had no way to warn them. No way to bring back his squadron.

He had a choice. Continue to safety with his limited fuel. Or do something about it.

Butch dove into the Japanese formation alone. He fired until his guns emptied. Then he dove at enemy aircraft, trying to clip their wings and send them spiraling down.

One pilot against an entire squadron.

The Japanese, stunned and confused, changed direction. The fleet survived.

When Butch landed, the gun-camera footage told the story. Five enemy aircraft shot down. He became the Navy's first flying ace of World War II and the first Naval Aviator to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.

A year later, Butch O'Hare was killed in combat. He was 29.

Today, Chicago's O'Hare Airport bears his name.

Here's what stays with me about this story: Butch wasn't trying to become a hero that day. He was just a pilot heading back to the ship because of a fuel tank mistake. No one would have blamed him for continuing home.

But in that small moment of decision, with no one watching and nothing to gain, his character showed up.

That's what quiet integrity looks like. It's not the grand gestures people plan for. It's what you do in the moments no one expects anything from you.

Small choices reveal who we really are. And sometimes, those choices change everything.
