British Airways has launched an investigation after all three pilots operating flight BA276 from Hyderabad, India, to London Heathrow, England, reportedly suffered food poisoning following an overnight stopover.

The first pilot was rendered ‘incapacitated’ at 30,000 ft and had to be put on oxygen and needed serious medical care upon landing.

The other two pilots managed to work, but their symptoms continued to worsen.

The pilots had shared breakfast in a hotel lounge in Hyderabad, but drank bottled water from an external company.

British Airways said in a statement, "The welfare of our colleagues is a top priority, and we are reviewing crew accommodation in this location following some isolated reports of sickness."

They all filed Air Safety Reports and were asked to provide samples so doctors could try to pinpoint the source, with British Airways now reviewing their hotel options.

▫️ في 10 يوليو، تعرضت طائرة "إيبيريا" من طراز A321 وطائرة "إير يوروبا" من طرازB787 لتحذير من نظام تجنب التصادم الجوي (TCAS)، Traffic Collision Avoidance System
أثناء تحليقهما فوق المحيط الأطلسي في اتجاهين متعاكسين وعلى الارتفاع نفسه.

▫️الطائرتان كانتا تحملان تصريح بالاستمرار على ارتفاع FL360، قبل أن يصدر نظام (TCAS RA)

أوامر فورية لتجنب التقارب.

▫️ استجاب الطياران فوراً، فهبطت طائرة إيبيريا قليلاً، بينما ارتفعت طائرة إير يوروبا قليلاً، ثم واصلتا رحلتيهما بشكل طبيعي دون أي حادث.

▫️ وقع الحادث داخل القطاع المحيطي لمنطقة معلومات الطيران FIR/UIR جزر الكناري، على الممر الجوي N587 قبالة ساحل الصحراء الغربية، وفتحت السلطات الإسبانية تحقيقًا لمعرفة سبب حصول الطائرتين على التصريح نفسه وهما في اتجاهين متعاكسين.

▫️ نظام الـ TCAS هو نظام مستقل موجود على متن الطائرة، لا يعتمد على المراقبة الجوية، بل يتبادل الإشارات مع أجهزة الإرسال والاستقبال (Transponders) في الطائرات القريبة، ويحسب احتمال وقوع تصادم.

▫️ عندما يكتشف تصادماً وشيكاً، يصدر أوامر متعاكسة للطائرتين في الوقت نفسه، فيأمر إحداهما بالصعود والأخرى بالهبوط، ويجب على الطيارين تنفيذ هذه الأوامر فوراً حتى لو خالفت تعليمات المراقب الجوي، ثم إبلاغ المراقبة بعد زوال الخطر.

Unreal: the symbolism of Trump signing a surrender agreement at Versailles in which the US agrees to pay massive reparations is just too perfect.

I wouldn't be surprised if Macron weaponized Trump's complete ignorance of history and told him something like: "Mr. President, Versailles is where the most consequential deal of the 20th century was signed. Yours deserves the same stage."

"Looking for a job!"

وفي 2008 كتبت:

"Researching online marketing."

وقتها كنت للتو راجع من الغربة إلى العالم العربي بعد الماجستير.

بدأت في الكويت في الاستثمار المالي. ثم دخلت في الاستثمار العقاري. وبعد سنوات طويلة، وبالأربعينات، قررت أترك كل شيء تقريباً وأبحث عن اتجاه جديد في حياتي.

لم تكن عندي خطة عبقرية.

كان عندي سؤال بسيط:

ما الذي يتغير حولي ولا ينتبه له أغلب الناس بعد؟

وقتها كان الجواب: السوشال ميديا.

كانت تبدو للبعض مضيعة وقت. وللبعض الآخر مجرد فيسبوك وتويتر. لكن بالنسبة لي كانت إشارة.

شيء جديد بدأ يتحرك. والناس التي ستفهمه مبكراً، ستبني عليه فرصاً كبيرة.

اليوم أشعر أن نفس اللحظة تتكرر.

لكن هذه المرة الاسم هو:

الذكاء الاصطناعي.

كل يوم أداة جديدة. كل أسبوع شركة كبرى تطلق شيئاً. والمنافسة بين شركات الذكاء الاصطناعي أصبحت أسرع من قدرتنا على المتابعة.

ومع كل هذا الضجيج، الحقيقة أن التبني الحقيقي ما زال في بدايته.

أغلب الناس تسمع عن الذكاء الاصطناعي. قليلون يستخدمونه بجدية. وقليل جداً يحاولون بناء دخل منه.

وهنا تكمن الفرصة.

لا أقول لك اترك عملك. ولا أقول لك إركب الموجة بشكل عشوائي.

أقول لك فقط:

ابدأ بالبحث. ابدأ ببطء. جرّب الأدوات. اسأل كثيراً. كن فضولياً بشكل مزعج قليلاً.

اسأل نفسك:

كيف أستخدم الذكاء الاصطناعي في عملي الحالي؟ كيف أساعد شركة صغيرة توفر وقتاً أو مالاً؟ كيف أحوّل خبرتي إلى خدمة مدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي؟ كيف أبني شيئاً بسيطاً يمكن بيعه؟

في الغرب بدأت تظهر قصص لأشخاص يبيعون خدمات ذكاء اصطناعي للشركات بعشرات الآلاف، وأحياناً بمئات الآلاف.

ليس لأنهم عباقرة. بل لأنهم فهموا فجوة بسيطة:

الشركات تريد النتائج. لكنها لا تعرف كيف تبدأ.

وهذه الفجوة فرصة.

الصورة أعلاه تذكرني أن بعض المنعطفات الكبيرة في الحياة تبدأ بجملة عادية جداً:

"أبحث عن وظيفة." أو "أبحث عن التسويق الإلكتروني."

وربما اليوم تبدأ بجملة:

"أحاول أفهم الذكاء الاصطناعي."

لا تستهين بهذه الجملة.

أحياناً الفضول الصغير يفتح باباً كبيراً جداً.
