“data centers can give communities valuable tax revenue”
sorry, I watch sports, I know the “billionaires get the infrastructure built first, then blackmail local governments for tax breaks by threatening to relocate and leave them with a huge waste of public funds” playbook
There is no obligation to give foreigners a sufficiently easy, or even extant, path to residency. The idea that they have a natural right to do this, and that we are somehow obligated to ensure an easy enough pathway exists, is viscerally disgusting.
It's 50% on $20 billion (out of ~$450 billion per annum) worth of Canadian imports. And also excludes energy. You should get informed before trooning out.
At a time that he is allowing importation of tariff-free beef….to reduce prices.
I’ve never seen an administration so committed to losing the midterms. Not even the one with a principal that was only moderately aware that there was an upcoming midterm.
The vast majority have no way to get a legal visa under current law. That's why they came illegally in the first place. I'm all for making legal migration vastly easier. Right now, we're doing the exact opposite. Assimilation already works well, and government is not a good judge of culture. Let free markets and civil society work on that.
If someone in the Trump admin gives you classified documents and you think it’ll help, you should publish it even if you go to prison. That’s what being a patriot means
Let me be clear. When I say we should abolish ICE, I do NOT mean just the name. I mean abolish the agency and its functions. There should be no federal agency tasked with detaining and deporting immigrants in the interior. There is no such thing as just/humane mass deportation. See my plan for how to do it: https://t.co/hqO6nFibYP
On Tuesday, the U.S. military helped ship over 15 million barrels of oil and products out of the Strait of Hormuz — combined with pipelines, the total leaving the region is closer to 20 million barrels. 7-day average of oil leaving the Strait is over 8 million barrels a day. Make no mistake, thanks to the U.S. Navy, oil is flowing through the Strait of Hormuz.
They're just pretending it's not an issue because they don't have an answer for it. Building power plants would take too long and Elon, Zuck, and AIDSman want their GPU racks NOW. Jensen Huang will cry big ching chong tears if you don't entertain his speculative nonsense NOW.
Uh, ya it does, we have a two-party system, and currently the Dems are clearly far worse on spending. They want to EXPAND entitlements, especially the ascendant DSA wing.
So whether you like it or not, Trump for all the nonsense, is somehow the better option on budgets.
But neither is great on that measure. It's bad vs. much worse.
