🇮🇳 Female journalists filming a crackdown became targets the second their cameras exposed police aggression.

Three reporters say police groped them and tried to bury their complaints during demonstrations at Jantar Mantar.

Crowds were demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resign over alleged voter roll manipulation.

When three women went to file a criminal complaint, police refused an immediate FIR.

Instead they passed the case off to their own Crime Branch for a ‘impartial’ internal review.

This is the grim reality for female journalists operating in New India.

🇺🇸 The Army is turning every soldier into a dot on a live battlefield map: smartphones, drones and linked radios just got their first jungle test

In drills in Indonesia, a sergeant used the map on his chest to find a medevac landing zone in 30 seconds instead of minutes, and command posts that once needed 300 people in tents now run from a handful of connected vehicles.

The Army says the system cuts the time from spotting a target to firing on it from hours to minutes, and it's asking for $3.8 billion next year to keep rolling it out.

Drone warfare rewards whoever sees the target first, and this puts a platoon on the same live picture as its commander miles away.

A radio reboot and an overheated phone in a jungle drill are exactly the bugs worth catching before the real thing.

1/8 A massive administrative campaign is targeting West Bengal's electoral rolls. In Chanchal, judges cleared 94% of flagged voters. Yet 38k+ appeals were filed to remove them anyway - 9.25 appeals per 1 removed voter. A thread.

[Congress @INCIndia]

I am joining the Congress party today with immense pride because I want back the Delhi I grew up in. I want the green, clean, progressive and safe Delhi that was such an important part of my growing-up years.

After more than a decade of experience in Indian politics, I truly believe that only the Congress can make this happen. If there is one leader who is authentic, it is Rahul Gandhi. He is resilient.

It is important that we all come together.

The question Tucker asks is “is Britain a healthier country now before ww2”

He believes now is worse than the great depression, slum housing, disease out breaks, kids up chimneys and mass poverty

They don’t operate in reality

🇬🇧🇷🇺🇺🇦 Tucker puts Britain’s role in Ukraine under the microscope with one question: Why should the U.K. decide what happens between Russia and Ukraine?

Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg: "If you allow Russia to take Ukraine, then it moves on to the next object, thats what countries do.

UK has strong national intrests in this, the one fundamental thing of the world order is the integrity of nation-states. If all nation states are up for grabs for whoever wants to take it, then why shouldn't China take Taiwan tomorrow?"

Tucker: "The question is: Can I do anything about it, and at what cost to my own population?"

Where should Britain draw the line?
