It makes me sad that he’s been ringing the alarm of climate disaster for decades and everyone is just like ‘aw what a sweet old national treasure’ and ignoring him
the erasure of how much death occurred at the beginning of the pandemic is what i mean when i talk about the casual cruelty we're socialized to perpetuate. the level of denial folks have participated in about the level of loss we experienced has to be studied.
unfortunately this is just proof that most men do not view women as equals even on a stage where they earned the exact same thing as them. and arguably did it better.
I could be wrong, but this flood of MAGAfluencers ragefully sharing videos of American athletes sharing thoughtful, caring, and frankly, patriotic messages about how much they love our country, but how it must be held to a higher standard... I don't think it's making the point they're trying to make.
