Today we carried out our annual Ramadan Relief Package distribution, an initiative aimed at supporting families and vulnerable members of our communities during this blessed month of Ramadan. This year’s distribution was carried out in collaboration with the Bashir Ahmad Project.
I sincerely appreciate everyone who contributed to making @BashirFund’s Ramadan Relief Package program a success, especially the dedicated volunteers of the the Foundation and the community leaders who are working tirelessly to ensure that the items are distributed fairly and effectively. Mun gode!
Through this effort, we hope to support vulnerable members of our society and bring some comfort to families as they observe this sacred month and we remain committed to the initiatives that uplift our people and strengthen the bond within our communities.
Earlier today, I chaired the flag-off of the Ramadan Relief Package supported by the Bashir Ahmad Foundation @BashirFund in my hometown, Gaya Local Government Area of Kano State. The initiative is part of our continued commitment to supporting our communities, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, a period that encourages compassion, generosity and care.
As a symbolic takeoff of the program, 50 bags of rice and 10 cartons of spaghetti were handed over to the leadership of our party, APC at both the local government and ward levels. The @TeamBashirAhmad will coordinate the distribution afterwards to ensure that the relief items reach families and individuals who are most in need across our communities.
I sincerely appreciate everyone who contributed to making this program possible, particularly the dedicated volunteers and community leaders who are working tirelessly to ensure that the items are distributed fairly and effectively.
May Allah (SWT) accept our acts of charity, bless our communities with peace and prosperity, and grant us the opportunity to continue serving humanity.
We appreciate all the participants, especially the organizers. This is an annual tradition for us, we have done it before and by the will of Allah, we will continue to do so annually.
Today, under the @BashirFund’ation and the @TeamBashirAhmad Project, we hosted an Iftar dinner for some social media users from my Local Government, Gaya, in Kano State. It was a wonderful moment of reflection and engagement as we broke our fast together and discussed ways we can continue to use social media positively to develop our community and society.
May Allah accept our fasts, prayers and good deeds during this blessed month of Ramadan. Ameen!

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Alhaji Sadi Godiya, a promising young businessman whose life was filled with hard work and great potential. His death in the early hours of today, after a brief illness, is a painful loss to his family, friends and all who knew him.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and his business associates. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen.
As part of our charity organization, the SAIHA Network’s Ramadan Charity Week in Kaduna, we have successfully commissioned the Rabiatu Memorial Orphanage Home. The orphanage will initially accommodate 50 orphans, providing them not only with shelter and care but also with access to education, mentorship and holistic support throughout their journey up to university level. This initiative reflects our belief that every child deserves dignity, opportunity and a hopeful future.
May this effort continue to transform lives and inspire more acts of kindness within our communities.
Our charity network, the SAIHA Network, will commence its Ramadan Charity Week tomorrow in Kaduna. As part of the outreach, we will be visiting selected hospitals and orphanage homes to provide support to those in need. Ramadan reminds us that beyond fasting, true devotion lies in caring for the vulnerable, easing burdens and spreading hope.
We pray that this initiative brings relief to beneficiaries, strengthens our bonds of brotherhood and earns us Allah’s mercy and acceptance. May our little efforts become a source of comfort for many and a means of lasting reward for all involved. Ameen!
The Masjid al-Haram in Makkah is the holiest and most revered site in Islam. It houses the Kaaba, the Qiblah toward which over a billion Muslims across the world turn in prayer daily. Masjid al-Haram is a profound symbol of unity, devotion and submission to Allah. It is the focal point of Hajj and Umrah, where millions of Muslims gather to perform acts of worship and heartfelt supplications seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.
Prayers offered in Masjid al-Haram carry immense spiritual reward and the mosque holds deep historical significance dating back to Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS), who raised the foundations of the Kaaba as a house dedicated solely to the worship of Allah.
For Muslims, Masjid al-Haram represents the pinnacle of faith, a sanctuary of peace and a reminder of the unity of the Ummah, regardless of race, language or status, all standing shoulder to shoulder before their Creator.
My wife and I warmly congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the blessed month of Ramadan. May this sacred period bring peace, mercy and countless blessings to our homes and our nation. Ramadan Mubarak!
The Bashir Ahmad Foundation warmly congratulates the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the blessed month of Ramadan. May this sacred month bring peace, mercy, and abundant blessings to our homes. May Allah accept our fasting, prayers and acts of charity.
We are visiting Sokoto Correctional Facility
Every year, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, we visit correctional facilities as part of our humanitarian efforts to support inmates and facilitate the release of those convicted of minor, less hardened offences who remain in custody solely because they lack the means to pay their fines.
This year, we have chosen to visit the Sokoto Correctional Facility to continue this tradition of social responsibility. However, it is important to clearly state that our intervention is strictly limited to inmates convicted of minor offences. Our support does not, and will never, extend to individuals convicted of terrorism or violent crimes that resulted in the loss of innocent lives.
The objective of this initiative is to give deserving individuals a second chance, promote rehabilitation and allow them to reunite with their families during the blessed month of Ramadan, while fully respecting justice, public safety and the rule of law.

So, I attended the Made in the North Festival today and I was humbled to see that I made it to this Wall of Fame. This acknowledgment truly means a lot and a reminder of how far we have come and how much more we can still contribute to the growth and unity of our region and nation.
May we continue to inspire one another and work collectively to uplift Northern Nigeria and our great nation as a whole. 🇳🇬 ✊🏾
Within just a few days, the @BashirFund has come to the aid of this less privileged individual in Gaya, by reconstructing his humble abode that was demolished by the heavy rainfall. It is our collective responsibility to stand by those in need during their most difficult moments.
