🎙️ | Crownie on not cheering for KC at MSI:
"Most insufferable fanbase in esports, what loyalty should I have towards LEC?"
"KC literally had "unfortunate" game against 9th Team Heretics causing us (Los Ratones) to not make playoffs, ofc it was "unfortunate" they for sure played very seriously and it was just "unfortunate"
"Their CEO was laughing on stream as they were losing so yea..."
Was diagnosed w clinical depression recently. At least now I know why I have not been myself for many years.
I am currently also travelling home to say goodbye to my father, who‘s passing away from cancer. You can see why I always feel like things don‘t get better. But I am determined to get better. Even if it feels impossible at times.
For some people, it takes years to reach the top 10% of their field...
For me?
It took 8 days.
They said I'd never make it to Emerald,
Now, they say I'll never make it out of Emerald,
Soon, they'll be asking me how they can make it out of Emerald
We're only getting started.
Fnatic Gaming Suspension Notice
Date: 7/28/2024
To all members of the League of Legends community,
We regret to announce the suspension of five players from the Fnatic Gaming team effective immediately.
This decision has been made following an investigation into conduct that violates the professional standards and code of conduct expected of our players. The suspended players are:
Oscarin
Razork
Humanoid
Noah
Jun
The investigation revealed that the aforementioned players were involved in match fixing, specifically through the manipulation of in-game actions. The key incident involved the misuse of Ezreal's "E" ability, Arcane Shift, in a manner that significantly compromised the integrity of the matches in question.
As a result, the following disciplinary actions have been taken:
Suspension Duration: Each player is suspended for a period of indefinite, during which they are prohibited from participating in any official Fnatic Gaming or League of Legends events.
Fines: Each player is fined 165,000 USD.
Mandatory Training: Players are required to undergo mandatory training and counseling sessions focused on professional conduct and sportsmanship.
Fnatic Gaming is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and sportsmanship. We deeply regret that these actions have become necessary but believe they are essential to uphold the integrity of our team and the sport.
We sincerely apologize to our fans, sponsors, and the entire League of Legends community for any disappointment or inconvenience caused by this situation. Fnatic Gaming will take all necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future and will continue to strive for excellence both on and off the field.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Sincerely,
Fnatic Gaming
I played the $500 Ahri skin
It is, without a doubt, one of the best skins League of Legends has ever released.
It feels incredible, it looks+sounds awesome, there are SO many insane details. Ahri mains will LOVE this skin, there's no doubt in my mind.
Which makes it all the more frustrating that Riot is knowingly betraying it's community to sell it at such an unreasonable price point, locking it behind a confusing and intentionally obfuscating currency system and giving you rinky-dink trinkets like ICONS to try and justify it's exclusivity.
THIS is the skin that Faker deserved. THIS is the skin that Ahri mains deserved. THIS is the skin that esports deserved, and Riot threw all that meaning away to scrape money away from the people who built them.
They INTENTIONALLY made it time-sensitive to abuse FOMO and make people scramble to buy it NOW or miss out on it forever. I'm hearing stories of people taking out LOANS to buy this skin, and as financially irresponsible and pathetic as that is, Riot does nothing but enable this type of behavior. They're counting on it, in fact.
I love this game, but go fuck yourself for this one Riot.
