My dad is very sick and I am helping care for him, so I will not be on twitter as much. I'll still pop in though! I hope to come back with some more blog content (I've got some ideas in the works) and to engage with lovely twitter folks as he returns to health. #WritingCommunity
I finished my MA thesis through a covid layoff + caring for my dad who was diagnosed with cancer. It just went live! I want to share it with #WriteLGBTQ#WritingCommunity, but it ruins my anonymity. Instead, I at least need to say: THANK YOU for sticking with me as I've been mia
I'll still be pretty mia on twitter as life is still wild, but it's so nice peeking back in here every once in a while and getting a glimpse of what everyone is up to. I've been coming up with some more blog ideas too, so I look forward to a less stressful time to write again!
I've met some really lovely people here who have given me confidence in my non-academic writing on my blog, have written things I've enjoyed reading, and have just been lovely to chat with. So thank you, thank you.
One of my teenage patients commented on how being in the hospital was nothing like Grey's Anatomy. She said, "Where are all of the attractive doctors?"
TO ME AND THE INTERN.
I've never been so thoroughly roasted in my life. I think I love adolescent medicine.
Found this demon face in my meat today. If it was any other year I’d be probably be traumatized, or at least be concerned, but it’s 2020, so I’m like...
Demons in my meat? Makes sense. Let’s cook that sucker.
I love everything about @serenaryder 's new song! It's joyful in a hard time, amazing talent as per usual, and #queer representation.

“Nowadays, the potluck is synonymous with lesbian tradition—so ubiquitous that lesbians have been known to potluck everything from protests to sex parties.”

Am I being tacky for jumping on a trend?
I see #bisexuals is trending, so I thought I'd use it to reach out to any bi and/or pan folks in the #WritingCommunity.
I'm a lesbian and I blog about be-coming out and being queer at https://t.co/KThL0TcunC. I follow back

@DellOlioMario Thanks. Still dealing with a lot of stress and caregiving on the home front, but I read that and couldn't help but share it with the writing community!
1/ Just learned Arendt's notion of natality, and reminds me of the roots of my blog around the tensions between being and becoming.
"Natality is our human being and becoming, our ground and condition...these continual becomings require the surrounding presence of others"
3/ Natality refers to Arendt's view that every time we act or speak we bring our new self into being. We are becoming. We are being born.
