@Pontifex Now, I "feel" Catholic and "universal" too. We are going through a lot in Nigeria, both Catholics and Non-Catholics. Our country is in its darkness moment in history because of ineptitude of leaders. Pray for us and speak for us.
@johnnycortes@BigManBean You are making a dull of yourself, actually. If Messi has 8, you people should rally around one. What the heck is your problem? Are you really that slow to not know that your logic is twisted?
@johnnycortes@BigManBean Nothing stops anyone from buying as many as they want for Messi. I really do not see any reason you have to drag Ronaldo's name into this stuff. It is open and public. Buy if you wish. Except you were there when he bought for himself, then advise Messi or his fans to buy as well.
@johnnycortes@BigManBean Why not buy some for Messi? Or better still why not ask Messi to buy soke for himself? Or is the buying of votes limited to CR7 alone?
@UcheMaryOkoli The really unserious ones are those ones who were baptised, confirmed, and participated in the Eucharist, only to leave and happily be fed on crumbs.
@AlfredAMartins Congratulations to your Grace, and your classmates on this milestone. May the Lord of the harvest continue to keep your feet firm in the His vineyard, and your eyes fixed on the joy of a fruitful labour. Congratulations, dear Father.
@FabrizioRomano In all of this, nobody has issues with Yamal constantly declaring himself the best player. Until it is CR7, the wailing starts. Romano has been frantically posting and sharing Yamal's interviews- doing the work of his masters. Nobody has cried foul.
I don't know if it would be pride on my part to desire this. But, if it pleases the good Lord, as a priest, I hope to, one day, be able to behold your agonising face. May the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ keep safe for eternal life. Amen.
During Mass at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church in Hopkins, Minnesota, Fr. Brent Bowman was overcome with emotion while consecrating the chalice.
He later described receiving an "experiential knowledge" of Christ’s Blood shed for us and said he could barely lift the chalice.
@Mimi_yakigar "He may not have the power of recollection, but he has records." Nigerians, you see where we have got to. It is better to be led by a man that suffers from memory relapse than to be led by a man that is agile, capable, and healthy because the former has "records." Nigeria is gone
Digital conditioning is a real threat to the intellectual ecosystem of our country. In addition to the moral decadence it perpetuates, it is also designed to reward folly while sidelining diligence and growth-oriented contents. It's time for re-orientarion!
Content Monetization and The Hijack of Africa's Digital Space
The digital gold rush in Africa is a deliberate structural trap. By incentivizing sensationalism over substance, global platforms have effectively co-opted the creative energy of a generation, steering millions away from the urgent work of reclaiming sovereign narrative and towards a cycle of 'engagement' that hollows out our intellectual discourse.
The Spearhead’s @Big_Mck reports that real digital independence starts with the courage to choose quality over clicks; a challenge that demands a deliberate commitment from every viewer to amplify rather than just consume.
@Spearhead_Af Kudos to Spearhead and those who follow this hard path of re-orienting and repositioning of our content creation ecosystem. It is baffling how foolery pays more than sound intellectual efforts. It is because there is a digital conditioning. Little wonder everyone is a victim.
