The killing of a police officer in the line of duty is a heinous & condemnable act. But detaining over a thousand people and demolishing the homes of families of two alleged militants amounts to collective punishment that has no place in a democracy. If the Government of India itself maintains that militancy has been reduced to near zero it must adopt a more humane and lawful approach towards innocent civilians instead of resorting to tit for tat for an entire community .

They study for years, sacrifice their youth, survive sleepless nights, handle emergencies, stand in OTs for hours and carry the burden of human lives on their shoulders, yet in Jammu & Kashmir, medical interns are still being paid just 12,300 per month. That's 410 rupees per day.
At a time when many other states pay their interns almost 2–3 times more, our young doctors are expected to work endlessly with little dignity and almost no financial support.
I have raised this issue multiple times before the authorities, but unfortunately, nothing changes except hollow assurances. A healthcare system cannot become strong by exploiting the very people holding it together.
Respect doctors. Respect interns. Raise the stipend.

I am not a student of JSU,nor have I ever visited this institution in my life. Yet, somehow,I have always felt a deep emotional connection with it.
I have seen scholars,doctors, and engineers emerge from this place. In an era where society often struggles with moral decline, this institution has continued to produce individuals of character and humanity.
Yes, the Government of India has every right to investigate any matter and take necessary action.
But one question remains,what is the fault of these students? Why should poor and marginalized students suffer from every side?
Education is a fundamental right. No students,whether from Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, or Jammu & Kashmir should face discrimination or disruption in their learning. Rules should be equal and just for everyone.
Kashmiri students, in particular, are already battling job insecurity, depression,anxiety, and the burden of unemployment.With each passing day, we hear of rising cases of suicide and crime. In such a fragile environment,targeting entire institutions only deepens the crisis.
If someone is guilty, hold them accountable but why should an entire community or institution bear the consequences? We must not repeat the painful mistakes of the 1990s, where collective suffering became the norm.
Beyond religion, culture, politics, or personal biases,try to feel the pain of these students. Imagine if your own child or sibling were in their place.What would your answer be?
The emotional words of a young child in this video remind us of the deep love and connection one would have have with their schools,their second homes.
