Aye we come on here and give coaches a hard time sometimes but in reality… THEY HAVE A TOUGHHHHH JOB! No one is saying that’s not what they signed up for but I see a lot of these assistants on the road it’s a grind for sure @Basketballists
We’ve preached this on @Basketballists podcast ! No player should ever turn their nose up to a coach. Gratitude & honest communication is the most important thing.
Young hoopers, make it easy for yourself to get recruited this live period! Social Media is a search engine and the easier it is to find you, the more potential you have to get interest… IF you’re taking care of what you have to on the court.
Let’s be honest. It is harder for HS kids to get recruited nowadays. BUT that doesn’t mean they aren’t watching. Get on a schools radar. Build relationships. You never know when it will be your time to capitalize.
Where you start college may not be where you end it.
D3 or JUCO?
As a former D3 athlete I can relate to kids not wanting to go D3 at first… but that’s basically all because of perception. The truth is D3s have some of the best schools in the country.
This is also a regional topic because a kid in Texas is probably more likely to go JUCO than a kid from New England where we grow up on D3 being around. Would love to hear you guys thoughts!
Very interested to see what’s next the next phase of Overtime Elite looks like.
For the past few years they have had an Adidas partnership… so maybe we see some of these newly sponsored Adidas prep teams join forces with them! Could be interesting for the landscape of grassroots hoops! @Basketballists
