Cause the benefits from staying dead on combat start is limited to the EGO Gift in the mirror dungeon. Everyone is so used to that they forget she works different outside of MD.

In her passive it states : "For this Encounter, gain additional effects based on which of The House of Spiders allied Identity was defeated"

Take note of the term "For the encounter" and the other term "defeated"

Everything is working as intended.
