@garrt Oof same. My $0.02: Research and write while you love the idea and worry about the timing of the publication later. The timeline from proposal to publication may be (probably will be) long enough to put you in the clear.
@davidleighbass The types of music that are typically disallowed from academic recitals while this tripe hangs around really drives home (for me) the fact that we are about a century overdue for reevaluating the way we conceptualize “art” song.
