@benonwine Harsh prison conditions are what is needed. Make it a place people dread to go. Unfortunately UK prisons are not like that. This man will have rights, access to professionals when he’s feeling sad, probably won’t serve all his sentence for good behaviour… 🤡 system
@MiloKostusiak This isn’t just nhs stuff but a life skill - don’t take that shit from anyone anywhere. That b***h should’ve been buying you a new coffee
@FPLEndymion @RDemesne@SportingNest@CorkGourmetGuy@HeadBerry Most halal slaughterhouses in UK stun animals. But just curious, what is your evidence backing the claim that non stunning causes more/less suffering than stunning?
@SportingNest@CorkGourmetGuy@RDemesne@HeadBerry You do know that halal can be eaten by anyone? If no bacon or no alcohol an issue then take it up with the business and demand it. Don’t spread hate for a group of people who haven’t demanded any change but are simply a large consumer and therefore big market demand 🤷🏻♂️
@RDemesne@HeadBerry@CorkGourmetGuy My point exactly. It’s simple economics. In that area, serving halal meat will mean they make more money and hence they took that business decision. Nothing to do with anyone demanding anything. These people just need a reason to hate.
@Neuro_Matt I think it’s great as they will be able to offer real insight and experience of what it is like and how they prepared which is probably what prospective med students want. Charging fees - not sure but if they are giving up their time and people are willing to pay then why not 🤷🏻♂️
@LickshotLippy@TheJackal_80 It’s not all fancy shit. Yes, Dubai has the fancy lifestyle and the glitz and glamour but you also have ‘normal’ parts, probably just like most main cities across the world. You don’t have to go to Dubai and twerk on a yacht but you can if you want to
@JordanLynch1892 Use it as an opportunity to learn and improve yourself. Work on whatever you need to improve next time and come back stronger. Use the year productively and enjoy the time out a little too. Failure is never final, you got this 💪
@Dr_BellaR I highly doubt people mean to demean or come across as rude when they call you those terms. They’re just colloquial terms of endearment and not meant to lessen your status as a doctor or be misogynistic I hope
@zara__r Charging rent is a good thing - it teaches them the value of money, budgeting, responsibility etc. You think the Asian way of having the kids live with you till they’re 40, no responsibility, mum doing their cleaning and washing still is a better way?
@cheesedoff3@xGloomWeaveRx You’d rather have them locked up in jail with rights and facilities paid for by the taxpayer and them released without completing their full sentence due to good behaviour? Fair enough
@rhys_elgumati The most annoying thing ever - it’s always the surgical junior who is made to rush to close or just not allowed to do it because of time
@conk_con@lottalottebotte@AmbassadorPatel@5Pillarsuk I get that. But let me give you a scenario - police man enters your house and pushes your mother, kicks your brother in his face and stamps on his head all because you had a dispute with your neighbour. Should we accept that because he’s an emergency worker?
@lottalottebotte@AmbassadorPatel@5Pillarsuk I hear you but why should you listen to someone just because they are in uniform if they are doing something that is clearly not right?
