Stephen Colbert on the ICE murder of Renee Good: “The message from this administration is clear. Only they determine the truth. And when their forces come to your city, obey or die. And if you die, you clearly didn’t obey. This should be an alarm bell for the entire country.”
The new angle of the murder of Renee Good is horrific. She told him just moments before her death “That’s fine dude, I’m not mad at you.” And seconds later while trying to drive away, the ICE agent shot her dead and called her a “F**kin’ B*tch.” Horrific. Justice now.
Semenyo showing the classy, respectful way to leave a club. Should be the norm but too often isn’t. Committed to the end, 4 goals in his last 6 games for Bournemouth, late winner in his final game, heartfelt farewell video. City signing a good character as well as v good player.
Ukraine wants an emergency UNSC meeting over the Oreshnik strike in Lviv.
They claim that Russia’s actions pose a threat to the security of Europe.
They won’t tell you that they had just attacked Belgorod, Russia, a few hours before this strike.
Not so friendly reminder to ICE Agents -
When Trump is no longer in power,
You will be prosecuted as individuals.
Not as part of an organization,
but as individuals.
Justice will come for you.
I cancelled my World Cup tickets.
The ICE may decide that I am a gang member, and I'll be locked in prison for a year with no charges, no hearing, no trial, no right to consult a lawyer, no phone call.
The US is not safe to visit.
Facilities just sent me an email asking why the server room temperature is set to 62°F.
They said it's "excessive" and they want to raise it to 68°F to save on cooling costs.
I replied with a six-paragraph email explaining "thermal load balancing," "equipment MTBF degradation," and "catastrophic failure risk."
I cited a "study" that showed every degree above 65°F reduces server lifespan by 15%.
There is no study. I made that up.
But I CC'd the CFO and said if Facilities wants to take ownership of a potential $200K hardware replacement due to overheating, they're welcome to adjust the temperature.
Facilities backed off immediately.
Here's the truth: the servers would be fine at 70°F. Data centers run hotter than that all the time.
But I like the server room at 62°F. It's the only place in the building where I can go to cool off and get some peace and quiet.
Plus, now I have an email chain proving that I "advocated for infrastructure longevity" while others wanted to "cut corners."
Technical decisions are rarely about what's right. They're about who's willing to use more jargon.
“If Iran shoots protesters we’ll invade” — ICE shoots woman in the face
“We must take down the narco regime in Venezuela” — pardons Honduran narco dictator
“Maduro runs a torture camp in Caracas” — has torture camp in Guantánamo
Every accusation is a confession.
Spoke on background with two attorneys who have defended officer involved shootings.
Both have always taken their cases to trial.
After reviewing the events today, both said if it were their client they’d advise:
-Seek a plea deal
-Be willing to plead guilty to a lesser crime or a lower sentence
-Accept anything that isn’t de jure LWOP (life with out parole)
In other words, the guys who defend police officers shooting for a living, think this case is unwinnable.
They would try to defend his actions, they’d just try and lower the impact of the outcome.
Their main sticking point were:
-“I could argue shot number one and hope for an acquittal or a hung jury - but I can’t get there on shots 2 and 3”
-“A jury will not get passed the turning of the wheels”
-“Denying medics throws self defense out the window”
Showing this kind of video to a girl who is in the process of crashing out on you is like hitting an OD with narcan. stops them in their tracks completely.
Not too long ago, I had a conversation with my brother @obiMpenaAustine on the need for newsrooms and media houses to have journalists who are well trained in court reporting and legal matters.
How does any reasonable person report that Black Sherif has been ordered by the Adentan court to pay a certain amount of money when the notice (attached) they are circulating with the reports clearly shows that trial has not began and that hearing has been adjourned to the 3rd of March 2026.
Is it daftness, ignorance, or a smear campaign?
Again, a careful check will reveal that the said property is not Black Sherif's residence but rather RBA's office space and studios.
Black Sherif obviously does not live there and so that place can not be regarded as his residence.
In summary, Black Sherif has not been ordered by ANY court to pay any amount of money to the plaintiff!
Again, the said space is NOT Black Sherif's residence.
We can do better with our reports.
