In response to recent outbreaks of viral haemorrhagic diseases, including Ebola and Marburg, across parts of Africa, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), in alignment with its mandate and the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005), convened a 2-day high-level National Cross-Border Surveillance Stakeholder Engagement.

Held in collaboration with relevant MDAs and partners, the meeting focused on strengthening surveillance at Points of Entry (PoEs), addressing critical gaps, and tackling key challenges towards safeguarding Nigeria’s public health.

Together, we are strengthening Nigeria’s frontlines against cross-border health threats.
