After almost 8 years of service, Victim Assistance Support Team (@CPSVAST) Accredited Facility Dog Calibri (Cali) is retiring.
Cali joined VAST in 2018 after 2 years of training & certification through PADS. She has brought comfort & calm to victims, families, witnesses & CPS members during some of their hardest moments. Together with her handler, she has positively impacted countless Calgarians during her time with the CPS.
💕 Thank you, Cali, for your compassion, dedication & the support you’ve given to our community & to the Calgary Police Service. Enjoy your well-earned retirement. 👏
🐕🦺 It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our retired Victim Assistance Support Team (@CPSVAST) Accredited Facility Dog, Hawk.
Hawk blazed a trail of innovation & compassion, becoming the first dog in Canada to provide support to a victim in court during a trial. Through his work with the Service, Hawk touched the lives of countless Calgarians with his unwavering compassion & unshakeable dedication to serving others.
Hawk, our brave & compassionate companion, we thank you for your service, for the lives you positively impacted & for the legacy you leave behind. May your spirit soar free, knowing that you made a difference in peoples’ lives.
Rest peacefully, knowing that you will forever be remembered as the guardian angel in fur who walked among us.
It's with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our long-time friend, retired @CPSVAST) facility dog Hawk.
Hawk was a source of comfort, strength, and inspiration for everyone at YouthLink Calgary and the countless youth who walked through our doors.

Tonight I had my last @PALSCalgary at the @ACHFKids. This past 8 yrs had been an absolute blast. I loved meeting all the brave kiddos and hearing their stories. It’s time for me to hang up my blue scarf. Don’t worry we still have a great team of pets ready to spread the love 💙
As seen during our @PALSCalgary visit last night at the @ACHFKids. This sweet boy was telling us all about his visit with Calibri from @CPSVAST earlier in the afternoon. It’s heartwarming to see our different groups coming together to spread joy in our community 💙 #pettherapy
