Our @LeverhulmeTrust Research Grant studying how a conspiracy mindset affects jurors (a conspiracy-juror bias) has started today!
Lee Curley (@Psycurlogy) and I are super happy that
@IwanDinnick has joined us as a Research Fellow!
Welcome to the team and @Notts_Psych, Iwan!
I really need to talk to someone about my overall PhD thesis because I’m really worried it’s going to end up as a jumbled mess of risky experiments 😭 and I’m starting my 5th year in April 🫠 this has to be my last year because the fees are too expensive…
It has not sink in yet, but I passed my VIVA with minor corrections on Thursday!!!
I am really thankful for @psyprofmichele and Dr Rose Meleady for their constructive feedback and positivity. And for @crseger for being such a great supervisor over the last (almost) 4 years.
#easp2023krk is coming to an end. I am both sad and relieved. The last days have been amazing but intense. I had the chance to attend so many interesting talks and feel very privileged to have exchange with many brilliant colleagues. I hope we will keep in touch.
Amazing time yesterday at #easp2023krk with the intergroup contact group. I wish we took a picture with everyone but shout out to the early bird @BeatrixSerman, @IsabelleZammitB and @MakinenViivi
After 3 years, 8 months and 20 days, I submitted my thesis on June 20th. Flying directly to easp small group meeting & #easp2023krk gave me little time to process this achievement. Sorry if you hear it again and again, I need to say it out loud so it feels real. Next: VIVA 03/08
Had an amazing time presenting my research on Monday. The room set up bringed everyone very (too) close but it was for the best as I had the chance to meet the brilliant Mahshid Esmaeilikolahdooz. #easp2023krk#AdripsInKrk
Flying directly to Krakow as not let me time to process it earlier, but I had so much fun at easp small group meeting on divided societies listening to brilliant talks. I hope to connect with everyone again. Maybe we will meet at #easp2023krk , please reach out if you are around!
Having a great time at #easp2023krk listening to brilliant colleagues. This morning were some great talks on the possibilities and limitations of intergroup contact to promote social harmony and justice with @HasslerTabea, Onur Yasa, Stefania Paolini, Yu-chi Wang and @husnushenel
I will be presenting my research on the role of perception, norm and context in contact intention
as a poster (1.47) at 19th General Meeting of the European Association of Social Psychology TODAY at 10:50, exhibition room. #easp2023krk
Brilliant keynote talk by @lindatropp at #easpbelfast2023
on applied examples of intergroup contact in a wide variety of context. After working on intergroup contact for the last 4 years, I feel very lucky to learn from such an accomplished intergroup contact researcher.
Interesting talk by @BatailleAgatha highlighting different predictors of contact intentions depending on ethnic majority / majority status @easpinfo#easpbelfast2023
Very insightful results and mix of method from the first group of talk by @thia_sagh , @IslamBorinca, Mengyao Li, @schreiber_jul and Vivian Liu at #easp small meeting on divided societies in Belfast. So many interesting facts on public Remembrance, Victimhood and Reconciliation.
