Proposal for a new lido in Kenilworth. View looking from the outdoor changing cabins towards the lido and cafe. Support our campaign to save outdoor swimming in Kenilworth! @KenilworthLido @Kenilworth_news @kenilwortharts @Warwick_DC

@BatesStudio inspirational design for a 21st century Lido for Warwick District in Abbey Fields. This is still possible if you make your voices heard in next months consultation. #thefightgoeson

[Studio Bates @BatesStudio]

Couldn’t agree more!

@LottieShed @KenilworthLido @save_leam @Kenilworth_news @WandL_LibDems @LabourKandS @WarkandLeamCLP @leamgreens @leamobs @KenilworthTrade @flupton @LottieShed the plan would be to use geothermal energy and other renewables to heat the pool. This technology is common place these days and is being used in lots of lidos across the UK.

Abbey Fields pool consultation open - luckily there's plenty of space to tell WDC you want them to save the ONLY outdoor pool in the district. Even better - they could refurbish it into a 21st century disabled accessible facility for future generations. Act now to give your views

[Kenilworth Lido Campaign @KenilworthLido]

@BatesStudio proposal for a new fully accessible heated 25m lido in Abbey Fields including ramped access into the pool adjacent to outdoor changing rooms and showers. Use WDC survey to support this option for Abbey Fields pool development. https://t.co/WU5p3W3EqH

[Kenilworth Lido Campaign @KenilworthLido]

Throughout November, WDC will consult again on the Abbey Fields swimming pool redevelopment. They'll tell you it is too late to save the only public outdoor swimming pool in the District. #liesandmorelies
ACT NOW - use Warwick District Council’s consultation to give your views.

@BatesStudio @Warwick_DC @AndrewD56715184 @KenilworthLido It’s such a success that it’s busy almost all the time. We need more lidos to take the strain! @ParkRoadLido @ThamesBaths @Otley_Lido @Clevelandpools @TynemouthPool @broomhillpool @KenilworthLido

Meeting on Monday with the general manager of London fields lido to discuss their pool’s energy usage and environmental impact. They have become experts on geothermal and other environmentally sound ways of heating their outdoor pool. @KenilworthLido @Warwick_DC @AndrewD56715184

London fields lido on a Saturday morning. What a total success story and a perfect example of how to creatively restore a historic lido. Hats off to the london borough of hackney for being a forward thinking council! @Warwick_DC @AndrewD56715184 @KenilworthLido

[Studio Bates @BatesStudio]

@LeamingtonSoci1 Sounds brilliant! Would love to have been there...

[Studio Bates @BatesStudio]

@Talisman_SC have given a shop to the @KenilworthLido to display their proposals for a new lido. It’s been a joy working on this project with such a dedicated community. Come see a remarkable design from your thought leading residents! @richdick @AndrewD56715184 @Warwick_DC

@BatesStudio @Warwick_DC @KenilworthLido @Kenilworth_news @LidoGuide @kenilworthlions We have trees in Abbey fields. We just don’t have @Warwick_DC with a vision to see what is in front of them. They’d rather take action on a report that doesn’t add up #literally

[Studio Bates @BatesStudio]

@DCBMEP Lol.

[Studio Bates @BatesStudio]

@Warwick_DC @jody_tracey Hi Jody, did they discuss having a lido on the site? I know @AndrewD56715184 and Roseship are keen to relocate the lido they are closing in Kenilworth to another site in the district.

Werner Herzog on EU:
“You idiots, you blaring idiots, the EU is the largest practiced peace project that the history of this planet has ever seen. Celebrate it!”
He said this back in 2015, when the german press were bemoaning the EU.I wonder what he’d say now about BJ and pals.

[Studio Bates @BatesStudio]

@richdick Wait.. what?! A sham public engagement event in Kenilworth? Seems to be happening at all levels... the culture of public consultation in Ken needs to change as its current state is breeding apathy. @KenilworthLido @Kenilworth_news @ElofsonMatt

Shocked at inability of @lufthansa to deal with a compensation claim. been over a month, 3 emails, still not even a holding email back. Customer relations team won’t take calls! fly weekly- some of the worst customer service I have encountered.@LH_InTouch @Lufthansa_DE @aviation
