Feeling lucky that I have known about this work for so long. Congratulations to good friend @raflynn5 on his work with @CarolynBertozzi on glycoRNA! Go to the link below. Also, Ryan is looking for new members for his lab (https://t.co/ij7Kwa5gWn)

We are hosting a FREE and open symposium on RNA structure. Flyer below. Schedule details to come in the coming days, but reserve June 24-25! Retweet!

Personally, I am sick to hell of having to live under the tyranny of 2A and all of those who have forced us to accept guns into our communities, including concealed carry at CU Boulder (2/2).
My thoughts tonight are with the friends and families of those 10 people including a hero from the Boulder police department who were senselessly murdered only a few miles from CU Boulder (1/2).
@Noncodarnia I think every PI should be required to do a month worth of benchwork each year to give them the proper perspective of the time it take to get things to work! 😮
A really nice new study from the Hammond lab demonstrating the performance capabilities of a riboswitch-based biosensor! Guanidine Biosensors Enable Comparison of Cellular Turn-on Kinetics of Riboswitch-Based Biosensor and Reporter https://t.co/6ek9hUuODr
So cool!: Structure of a transcribing RNA polymerase II–U1 snRNP complex. Reinforces that many mRNA processes are cotranscriptional! https://t.co/s2i8t5AuER
Last night Neocles Leontis was killed in a car accident. A terrible loss for the RNA community! He was instrumental in developing base pairing classification with Eric Westhof and so much more in RNA structure. He will be missed.

Congratulations to Lea Drogalis, a former undergraduate student in my lab! Great paper on redesigning a riboswitch for E. coli.

OK...What about RNA? Maybe we are still in business for a bit longer!
A must read! Awesome analysis by Dan and Roy in BioFrontiers showing how to most effectively test populations for Covid-19 to bring down infection levels: "Test sensitivity is secondary to frequency and turnaround time for COVID-19 screening" https://t.co/LxsUimEovE
Structural distinctions between NAD + riboswitch domains 1 and 2 determine differential folding and ligand binding. Interesting study in that shows that BOTH domains binds adenosine. https://t.co/ETBKeZeDP2
