@Little_Elefant @WestonGrnBelt @watershipbrakey@bathnesld If you’ve read into my tweets that I’m not concerned about pollution you couldn’t be more wrong. That’s exactly why I’m against the CAZ & closing of roads. I don’t believe it is the way forward and it makes people drive further because it’s cheaper than the charge.
Do I pay the £9 CAZ charge or travel the extra 7 miles this morning to go from a client at one end of Church Street to a client at the other end of Church Street? #nocommonsense@bathnesld
@watershipbrakey@bathnesld My point, exactly. We need to go back to the root of this which is the clean air zone and replace it with measures that actually work
@watershipbrakey@bathnesld Understandably if their road was being used by all the non-CAZworthy vehicles. Why should they bear the brunt of the pollution?
When did we all start saying ‘sat’ when we mean ‘sitting’? You wouldn’t say ‘Right now I am walked the dogs’ so why ‘I am sat by my window’? STOP DOING IT 😡(or should I say ‘Stop done it’? 😂) #BeBetter#ImportantIssues#NotBusyEnough
@watershipbrakey@bathnesld I think the point is that the CAZ & further road closures don’t solve the problem. Yes, we can all chuck a few extra quid to the council, but how does that stop pollution? We have been dragging our heels to make real change in the uk and we are still doing it.
@JackDeBath@bathnesld I don’t think it matters how much the uk is responsible for. We all MUST stop climate change happening further. The point is that the CAZ zones & further road closures increase pollution. We need better solutions from gvments & councils that have the balls to make real change.
@LesDennis The first of the Reith lectures on Radio 4 yesterday seems very applicable here. It’s a great listen & really makes you think. It’s very sad when people can’t make thoughtful use of their free speech without insults
If you think you’re not paying the CAZ charge, think again. Businesses who have to pay it to do their jobs are passing their charges onto you. The latest road closure in Bath means I either have to pay £45 p/w or travel an extra 35 miles. @bathnesld#NoCommonsense#TickingBoxes.
#BigGardenBirdWatch complete. The only birds not to make an appearance were the jackdaws and GS woodpecker. And only 1 goldfinch although the others typically arrived after I had finished
Identification help needed please. My friend just sent me this and I am stumped. Unfortunately, the photograph is not good enough to zoom into. I think she saw this in Bath. She said it was huge but it doesn’t look huge on the goal. Any thoughts?
