This #UniMentalHealthDay it’s more important than ever to highlight the need for student support services such as Nightline

As well as the usual pressures of uni life,such as coursework & homesickness,COVID-19 has created a unique set of circumstances & challenges for students

Tomorrow is #UniMentalHealthDay, an annual event which aims to brings together the university community to make mental health a university-wide priority.

This year it is more important than ever to ensure students are supported throughout their time at university (1/2)

Last month Emma, our Suicide calls project coordinator,attended the annual @NSPA_UK conference

We are proud members of the NSPA, & the 2021 conference theme ‘Suicide prevention in a changing world’ proved especially thought provoking.Check out Emma’s thoughts below👇 #NSPAConf

We all have mental health but sometimes it’s hard to understand another person’s struggles if you haven’t experienced them yourself

We appreciate that each call will be entirely different;we’re here to listen to whatever you want to discuss

In the first month of lockdown,48% of calls to Nightlines wanted to discuss a Mental Health related issue.

This has emphasised the importance of services such as Nightline & shown funding for these services is more important than ever. #WorldMentalHealthDay #NightlineWMHD
