I have given a lot of thought into this, sought advice from different kinds of people. Eventually, I hope that by breaking my silence, now that this is out, matters Sexual Harassment will be addressed with the seriousness that it deserves. Preventing abuse of women must be prioritized from the top if we are going to make any headway with stopping GBV and to ending Femicide.

Maraga arriving at the matriarch’s grief sit-down with flowers and a clear desire to command attention is deeply distasteful. Coming from someone whose campaign sidelined women after mishandling sexual harassment allegations, the optics are particularly troubling.
