MY TOP 20 BATMAN BRONZE AGE STORIES
Thread 🧵
Probably the most underrated Batman era between 1977-1981 it reached a lot of heights but most of it is pretty good
There was this time during the claremont run where character development was at it's peak with character like Rogue or Storm
But it was all mixed in between marvel events like scret wars or the wraith invation and it really took away from it
He really confuses me. He’s willing to embrace the silliness of the comics stuff enough to call it Lexiglass (which rocks) but then gets so hung up on the believability of Clark Kent disguise that he has to include the hypno glasses to make it more believable
Tbh this is why I stopped reading the Fraction run, waiting a month to get a tiny bit of story is not that enjoyable for me so I'll just wait for the run to be more developed

I hate the gangster origin and the fact he killed Bruce's parents but Nicholson's joker embodies so much of what makes the character great thay it seems impossible to have something like that now
when I watched batman 89 for the first time I was struck by how incredible joker was, not that I expected nicholson to be bad obviously but it felt like people never had much to say about him
Seeing Bruce consumed by his failure after letting Black Mask slip away,to the point of questioning the man he has become while standing before his parents' portraits
He sees it as a betrayal of his mission and of his parents' memory, feeling that he has "not done enough , peak
