I mean let’s face it really, he turned a blind eye to corruption the entire time he was in power. While he was busy looting public resources he slapped the “Christian nation” label on Zambia and till today politicians still hide behind that same label to justify their nonsense and use it for votes. the damage is still there.

Also there are serious allegations (I don’t know if they’re true but a lot of people have said it for years) that he had opponents who fought against him killed during his first term.

At the same time he also destroyed Zambia’s industrial base through the way privatisation was handled. Factories shut down, jobs disappeared, and the damage is still felt and also let’s not forget how he wanted a 3rd term and when people refused, he went into dirty tribal politics causing the country to be where it is today (TRIBALISM)

Good clothes but a very corrupt leader and nobody can tell me otherwise. The worst president Zambia ever had and still paying the price for his actions today.
