The New York Yankees are promoting shortstop George Lombard Jr., their top prospect, to Double-A Somerset, sources tell ESPN. Lombard, 19, was hitting .329/.496/.488 with one homer, 13 RBIs, 11 stolen bases and a 23-to-22 walk-to-strikeout ratio at High-A. A real big-time talent.

BREAKING 🚨

Japanese superstar, Roki Sasaki, has told the Los Angeles #Dodgers he intends to sign with them.

Because Roki Sasaki is coming over to the #MLB before his age 25, Sasaki is subject to MLB’s international signing rules. His signing bonus will be $5.14 million, with the Chiba Lotte Marines, his NPB team, receiving 25% of it as a posting fee. He’ll earn the MLB minimum salary in 2025 ($720K) and be under team control for 6 years, the first 3 being under the rookie contract, and the final 3 being an arbitration period.

#Braves 2023 National League MVP, and some member of the 40/70 Club, Ronald Acuña Jr. was taking some swings; amid his return campaign after missing a majority of 2024 due to a torn ACL he suffered tearing his ACL while attempting to steal third in a game against the Pirates on May 26th

He successfully underwent ACL reconstructive surgery on June 6th and will be “cautious” but is ready for the 2025 season!
