There are many incredible women both in front of and behind the scenes at The Battle Proms, but this #InternationalWomensDay we wish to celebrate the life of the late great Carolyn Grace.

She had a huge amount of respect for the Spitfire, which she described as having “seemingly unlimited power”. “It's an aircraft you actually put on, you become a part of”, she said, “it gives you wings, the ability to realise all your imaginary dreams of flying.”
