1.4.3.1 Known Issues and Status Roundup - September 18
Today, we wanted to follow up on our previous update as we head into the weekend. Here’s a status update on what we’re currently investigating as of September 18.
- Proximity Chat Status: Proximity Chat will remain disabled throughout the weekend as we continue to investigate the issues related to the feature. We will provide an update once we re-enable it.
- Matchmaking in REDSEC: From our data, as well as comments from the community, matchmaking has stabilized since the release of 1.4.3.1, and we are continuing to monitor it as one of our highest priorities over the course of the weekend.
- Missing Weapon Attachments: We have investigated the issue of missing attachments. We are seeing that this issue is isolated to the Firing Range and does not affect live multiplayer or REDSEC matches. We will continue to investigate and work on a resolution.
- Vehicle Spawn Protection: We've seen some confusion recently regarding "random" out-of-bounds messages triggering in areas of the map that previously were safe to explore. To clarify, this is an intentional design feature to prevent players from blocking or camping active vehicle spawns. If you find yourself staring at an OOB warning in a seemingly normal spot, it's because you are in a vehicle spawn zone. The warning is designed to keep vehicle deployment predictable and fair for both teams. We appreciate you calling this out, and we are discussing how we can more clearly highlight this functionality in the future.
- Incorrect HUD Damage Tracking in REDSEC: We are investigating an issue where weapon damage numbers exceeding 100 are not displaying accurately in the player HUD. This is primarily occurring within REDSEC matches. Please note that actual damage dealt is calculated correctly on the backend as your weapons are dealing their full intended damage. Only the visual indicator on your screen is displaying incorrectly. We are actively working on a fix to restore accurate HUD damage readouts and will share updates as soon as they are confirmed.
- Missing Hit Indicators on Armor in REDSEC: We are investigating an issue where players wearing armor do not receive incoming damage and directional indicators when shot. Our team is actively working on a fix to restore these hit indicators and we will share when we have a resolution.
- Delay in HUD notifications: We have deployed a server-side backend change to resolve an issue which caused delays in the in-game UI. The notifications should now be instant again.
- Zeroing on Sniper Rifles: We have found the underlying issue which causes the Zeroing indicator to be missing from Sniper Rifles. This fix will require a client update, and we’ll let you know when we are able to deploy a patch for this.
- Interdictor in Gauntlet: We are aware of reports from players that the Interdictor can do an unintended amount of damage in Gauntlet. We are looking to adjust the damage to bring it back in line with the intended range we introduced in 1.4.3.0.
The team is actively pushing forward on these fixes as well as the previous ones we mentioned earlier this week. We will share updates as more information becomes available.
Have a great weekend, and thank you for your patience.

1.4.3.0 Known Issues and Status Roundup - September 16
With Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 now live, we wanted to give you an update on what we’re currently investigating following the patch and the additional client hotfix deployed today, September 16.
- Missing Weapon Attachments: We’re investigating reports of missing/switching attachments since Season 4 Phase 3 went live.
- Battle Royale Modes Matchmaking: We are continuing to investigate the underlying issue. As this doesn’t affect all players in all regions, this has been more difficult to pin down.
- Disabled Proximity Chat: We have disabled Proximity Chat to investigate an issue related to the feature and will provide an update once we re-enable it.
- Minimap Issue: The underlying issue with the Minimap being invisible when downed has been found. We're working to include a fix for this in our next client update.
- Deep Six Event Pop Up: We resolved an issue that caused the Deep Six Event information screen to pop up every time you visited the event tab. This should now only happen the first time you navigate to the tab.
- Deep Six Event Contracts: We have identified and resolved an issue with the Deep Six Collection event contracts. We have rolled out this fix, and players should now receive contracts at the intended level.
- Delayed In-Game Notifications: We're investigating reports of in-game notifications being delayed (scoreboard, hit indicators) and will update you once we have more information.
- Javelin Anticheat: The Anticheat team has deployed a new Javelin version, which should now be compatible with the Windows Insider Builds that had previously not been supported.
The team is actively looking into further updates to resolve bugs currently encountered, and we’re continuing to investigate additional reports as they come in. We'll share updates as more information becomes available.
Thank you for your patience.
