I’m certain you have been hearing about MegaEth right?

These are new edition, 8 new projects are introduced, each marked with a star. For each project on this list, I will also provide a brief description.

There are additional projects, but they are still in stealth mode.

1- MegaMafia projects:
MegaMafia is MegaETH's 10x Builders' program, focusing on builders who are:

(1) building zero-to-one Dapps,
(2) building fully on-chain Dapps and
(3) building Dapps for the long term.

When I first stumbled upon @megaeth, I was skeptical, thinking it was just another L2 launch doomed to disappear without a trace.

How wrong I was.

— 📌 | What is MegaETH?

Essentially, it's an Ethereum Layer 2 solution that pushes real-time performance to match Web 2.0 by overclocking hardware limits.

The result?

🔹 100,000+ transactions per second
🔹 1-10 ms (near-instant) latency, even under network congestion
🔹 <0.01s transactions fee

MegaETH could be the endgame for Ethereum, the World Computer.

On another note, MegaETH recently raised $10 million in under three minutes through a community round on Echo.

Previously, they secured $30 million from prominent investors such as @dragonflyvc, @ethereumJoseph, and @VitalikButerin.

— 📌 | But How?

MegaETH achieves scalability through specialized node architectures and a performance-driven, fully optimized design.

To achieve this, MegaETH leverages Ethereum's main chain and @EigenDA (a data availability protocol) as a fundamental security layer, ensuring high-security guarantees while focusing solely on optimizing Layer 2 performance.

For simplicity, node roles are divided into specialized node, optimizing workload distribution and reducing computational bottlenecks (order by the hardware requirement):

🔹 Light Clients

Lightweight nodes require minimal hardware, don't store the full state, and offer easy blockchain access without heavy computation, enhancing accessibility.

🔹 Provers (1 core and 0.5 GB RAM)

Provers generate validity proofs, such as zero-knowledge proofs, to ensure the integrity of transactions and computations without overloading the network.

They are the only nodes able to challenge the sequencer.

🔹 Replica Nodes (4-8 cores, 16 GB RAM, and 100 Mbps network)

These nodes store the full state without re-executing transactions, relying on the prover network to verify the sequencer's output.

Most MegaETH nodes are replicas, optimized for app developers and infrastructure providers to efficiently serve frontend applications, reducing hardware needs and enhancing UX.

🔹 Full Nodes (slightly higher hardware specs than Replica)

Full nodes verify cryptographic proofs and update the network state, resulting in a lighter workload compared to sequencers.

This significantly reduces the hardware requirements for running full nodes.

🔹 Sequencers (>100 cores, 1-4 TB RAM, and 10 Gbps network)

Sequencers handle the most computationally intensive tasks using high-end hardware capable of storing the entire blockchain state in RAM.

This approach eliminates delays from traditional storage, such as SSD latency, by using in-memory computation.

By assigning transaction execution to one sequencer at a time in a rotational manner, MegaETH optimizes resource-intensive processes while avoiding a single point of failure.

An elegant solution to the general-purpose chain dilemma through division of labor at the node level.

— 📌 | But Why?

It's widely acknowledged that $ETH has struggled with scalability challenges, alongside numerous other potential hurdles within conventional EVM execution.

Picture trying to stream 4k video with just a 1 MB/s connection—frustrating at best, probably impossible to enjoy.

To truly unlock Ethereum's potential and accommodate the coming influx of users, we need a hyperscalable infrastructure unrestricted by consensus constraints.
