Itโs been such a busy and exciting week back at school, but we still need to make the time to relax and enjoy a story - and what better time than during lunch enjoying our hot grab bags and pack ups! ๐ฝ๐
Presentation matters! Year 2 have moved into their new red maths books with the smaller squares - yesterday we spent some time learning how to present our digits, number sentences and writing! โ๏ธ ๐
It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces today in school. You all worked so hard and should be extremely proud of yourselves. We canโt wait to see you again tomorrow! ๐
This week Willow and Theo have worked hard to make a rainbow for everyone on their street... thatโs 69 rainbows made in just 6 days!
Well done both of you; such a heart warming thing to do! ๐ ๐
KS1 were amazing earlier this week at the Strictly Penine Dance Show. They showed great spirit and enthusiasm, and did a cracking performance! We settled our pre-show nerves with games of Dobble and making each other laugh!
Getting a selfie with 15 dancers and 2 teachers proved almost impossible ๐ but we sure gave it a try at the Strictly Penine Dance Show! We canโt wait to perform again in school on Monday evening! ๐
In year 2 we have been learning about cooperating with others in PSHE. We played a team building game where we had to describe what Miss Jackson had drawn on the board to our partner using positional languageโ๏ธ
In Year 2 we have been discussing and comparing London in 1666 and 2020. We worked as a team to organise a range of pictures to link with our Great Fire of London topic.๐ฅ
A huge thank you to Kirklees Road Safety for the workshops they held with Year 2 this week. The children had a great time and learnt so much! ๐๐๐
Year 2 have been composing their own โwater musicโ using percussion instruments and a graphic score. See how they watch the conductor carefully and change the style of their playing to suit. Well done! @Battyeford_Arts
