Out walking in the Peak District at Castleton a couple of days ago - stunning scenery but, I am ashamed by the litter.

So Costa coffee cups, Stella cans, paper hankies, sweet wrappers, plastic bottles , dog pooh bags....etc.etc. who do these people think they are.

10 mile walk round Brinkhill, Somersby and Tetford. Buzzards and red kite along the way, beautiful winters day.

Xmas visit to Woodhall cheese shop ( stinking bishop and true grit) and a walk down the Witham with my mate Malc.....saw 30 different birds including megansa duck mute swans and Goldfinches and a cormorant.

Great walk on the beach at Rimac, Saltfleet and Theddlethorpe. Spotted Marsh harriers, curlews, shell ducks, cormorants, black backed gulls,Marsh bunting ..

Busy old seashore and marshland.

Took a walk round hagworthingham, Somersby, Salmonby and Bag Enderby . Lots (14) of red kite, buzzards and Sparrow hawks with a greater spotted woodpecker or two.

Great walk round Binbrook today. Saw a wake of buzzards a few common blue butterflies and not another soul in 10 miles- bliss

10 mile walk round oxcombe and Tathwell today. A pair of Red kite came to have look at us. Spotted a green wood pecker on the way home in Louth cemetry oh and some sulphur cap fungus .

Walked the Alvingham stretch of the Louth Navigation Canal yesterday. Saw 20+ mute swans and Marsh harriers. Quite a few Goldfinches on the teasals as well.
