@AntiLeftMemes I've been at that station, there is a 'nook' underneath the entire length of the platform(under the yellow) that he could have dove into until the train passed. It's also one reason he couldn't easily pull himself up, it's just a ledge with nothing there to make a foothold on.

@nzstargazer @dlongenecker1 One parish I was a lay minister I was at I forbad denim for lectors/EMs, etc. But bare shoulders and shorts were OK, go figure. Drove me batty.
For the congregation, especially at daily Mass, I'm happy to see people dress for where they're headed or came from, gym, etc.

@MaebyMe5005 @wutswongwithyou Cal academics aren't what they used to be. Berkeley(the school and the city) haven't been keeping up. An incredible amount of academically-minded High School seniors accepted now choose to go elsewhere. It's just not the institution it was 20 years ago.

@JTTheBrick I grew up in the same neighborhood as Pete(I'm 25 years younger), played knothole baseball on the same fields with his cousins, etc. He was one of us, always working on and off the field. All acknowledge his faults but no one played like he did, intense every second of every game

@wutswongwithyou Both that runner-up year and this year Cal meet attendance averaged 2k(I was there!) Clemson was #29 this year and averaged over 8k. Berkeley isn't what it was, academically or athletically, and those that live there will tell you how far the living experience has fallen.

@aaaaalyssia @AllThingsGymPod No limit on roster size. Before this commit for the 2026 season they were only using 5 of the 12 allowed scholarships. Funding those 7 available slots had to be part of negotiations to get Justin and Liz to sign on. I predict Kyen Mayhew and Ondine will follow, among others.

@cheernastix Clemson had to have upped their scholarship budget to land Liz and Justin. They could have 6-7 more slots available. I think from Cal Ondine Achampong/Kyen Mayhew would definitely follow them, who else would transfer in?

@Chase7755564344 @Golden_Sledge @thattradgal He did meet the criteria and beatification was to occur in 2019 in Peoria. There was a NY AG abuse report about to be released that a Rochester bishop thought he might be mentioned in(he wasn't), he requested postponement, a new date was never set.
