More journalists should start to do it.

A few years ago, a Romano tweet about a player your club was trying sign was the holy grail.

It meant something good was coming your way as he'd been informed that a deal was nearly done.

No harm done. Just postive vibes. All good. Just a "journalist" bringing you breaking news.

But these days - when you're fans of the selling club on the other end of the rumour and you see that first tweet mentioning your player's name - it's game over.

Now the fun stops.

Now he's trying to take your best player away.

Now - whether the link is true at time of tweeting or not - he'll make damn sure that player is publicly unsettled enough to force the move through for that pay day by the end of the window.

💰 He gets paid.
💰 The player gets paid.
💰 The agent gets paid.
💰 The selling club, whether they want the money or not, gets paid.
✅ The buying club gets the player.

He's manipulating an entire sport from the comfort of his own home, via a few lines of repeated text on a social media platform.

The most powerful man in Football....getting richer and richer as he makes his way around every club in Europe like a plague of locusts unsettling your best players and decimating your squads until there's nothing left.

The "HERE WE GO!" has become the dreaded "OH SHIT....HERE WE GO AGAIN!".
