Slightly pointless addition, but now each time a map is generated it will also generate a selection of randomly placed doodles to be saved along side it.

Adding new ship upgrades, this one gives you a bird cage to keep friendly birds that attack all enemies for you. Cranked up the number for testing...

It's good to sit down and play your own game from time to time then you can really see how many bugs you actually have πππ

@justff777 Yeah, that's exactly it! Takes longer to implement but the trade off is very much worth it. And it's always fun to see something visually different.
Just added my 40th powerup to my action roguelite. I've mostly tried to avoid just straight stat boosts, gone for more things like birds that attack for you, teleporting rolls, explosive rolls, and the such.

@playerdotgg I've been working on Buster Ocean, an action roguelite where enemies that kill you remember you and return stronger as bounties in future runs

I'm making an island-hopping roguelite where enemies come back stronger after killing you
- Fight with a massive anchor
- Pile on hats, accessories and flares for weird powers
- Hunt bounties that killed you before!
The name's Buster Ocean, wishlist now!

@IndieBandits Here's the one for Buster Ocean! An action roguelite where enemies that kill you come back stronger in future runs.
Currently working on the new one, making it shorter, and a way to explain the main mechanics better.

This is a test of some random visual generation for a newly created bounty.
When you die in this roguelite, the enemy becomes a bounty that can appear in future runs.

@BilkoBibitkov Thanks! Yeah, 100%. Can stand in the carnage after a fight and admire. It was either to be bodies or blood splatters. Though, still might give that a go
In Buster Ocean, enemies that kill you turn into bounties that can then return in future runs. I've been working on giving each a unique speech pattern to give them more personality. Here's a bunch of the possible variations.
