@DonDelco Cool well it was my first time but I quite enjoyed it! I just moved to Basel and just started listening to your podcast. I’ve only listened to the first few episodes so far but they are fantastically relatable so thank you 😁
A cappuccino is never just a cappuccino in this city. It is always accompanied by exactly what you need. A small cookie and a glass of water. #2pointsforBasel
We found the Plattsburgh of Germany (my fellow Montrealers, you know what I’m talking about). Cross-border shopping mayhem is not just a North American thing. #weilamrein#whowouldhavethought
“The city has replaced more than 300 lampposts corroded by dog and human urine over the last three years, according to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. Replacing the poles became more urgent after a lamppost collapsed in 2015, crushing a car.” #yikesSF
Today’s story on San Francisco’s dirtiest street is prompting comments from around the country – Salt Lake City, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, New York – about similar conditions in those cities. https://t.co/oV8WJIqP61
Lived in SF for almost 6 years and I don’t know even one San Franciscan who smokes... but it turns out that Europeans are still big fans! Hate the smell but will take it over the smell of SF homeless poop. #2pointsforBasel#ithoughtsmokingwasathingofthe90s
So many rules in Switzerland - rules about how many people can walk through a door together; rules about when I can flush the toilet; rules about when I can do my laundry... I wonder if such a rule-abiding society has the ability to produce rebels? #deepthoughts
Yesterday, we found a small farm where we were able to buy fresh eggs, butter, bread, and even fresh milk (i.e. direct from cow). As we got back into the car, Avishay turned to me and said "F**k San Francisco". Needless to say, I think we are off to a good start. #welcometobasel
