The 330 most profitable wallets on Hyperliquid, each up over $1M, are betting against Bitcoin.
They hold $600M in longs vs $928M in shorts.
The crowd is doing the opposite: 62% of Binance accounts are long, and top traders just loaded their biggest long position of the week.
This morning's push to $82.3K came from futures: they bought 1,612 BTC in one hour while spot bought 67. Coinbase premium is still negative.
That's leverage, not demand.
And the chart is on the whales' side.
The 30D RVWAP at $83.5K is back above price and weighing on buyers.
Every high is lower than the last: $84.3K, $82.9K, $82.3K.
Below, there's a flat bottom at $80.8K. Together with the falling highs, that's a descending triangle, and those usually break down.
My call: a fake move below $80K on Monday's US open.
That's where I plan to go long.
With this much money in shorts, the bounce could turn into a sharp squeeze toward $82.4K–83.5K.

I tracked every major Bitcoin headline since 2018 and checked where price was 90 days later.
The pattern is almost too clean.
In bear markets, bad news worked.
Google banning crypto ads: -20%.
The BCH hash war: -37%.
Terra collapsing: -23%.
6 out of 7 scary headlines in a bear market ended lower.
In bull markets, the same kind of news did the opposite.
COVID crash: +106%.
Binance getting hacked for 7,000 BTC: +102%.
CZ stepping down: +45%.
9 out of 10 ended higher.
The headline doesn't decide where price goes.
The trend does.
Now look at 2026.
Stocks crashed in February and dragged BTC to $60K: +29% in 90 days.
Iran strikes and World War 3 fears in March: +12%.
Record ETF outflows in June: +42%.
The last red dot on this chart was the tariff crash in October 2025.
Since then, every piece of bad news has ended higher.
The Clarity Act failing and the first Fed hike since 2023 are next on the list.
So far: +8%.
Save this chart and check back in December.

Yesterday's dip to $80.8K got bought.
Just not by the people you'd want.
Top traders on Binance went from 1.47 to 1.79 long/short in 11 hours, their most long position all week.
63% of all Binance accounts are long too.
Funding hit 0.01% overnight, the highest reading of the week.
Now look at real spot money.
Spot ETFs sold a net 2,700 BTC this week.
Coinbase premium stayed negative every single day.
So the dip was bought with leverage while US buyers kept selling.
Since then price has been stuck in a 0.4% range.
Above price there's a fresh cluster of short liquidations at $82.4K.
Below there's about $1B in long liquidations between $79.6K and $81K.
On a thin weekend, the crowded side usually pays first.
I expect a sweep below yesterday's $80.8K low to flush the late longs.
That's where I'd want to buy, with $82.4K–83K as the first target.

In 2013 a Bitcointalk forum guy drew Bitcoin's path at $25.
We are still on it.
His name was dacoinminster.
He put every Bitcoin price he could find into Excel.
Excel drew one line through all of them.
His line said Bitcoin should be $27 that week.
It was actually $25.
Almost a perfect match.
Back then everyone on the forum was screaming bubble.
He made this chart to prove them wrong.
Years later, physicists rebuilt his model with fancy math and way more data.
They got almost the exact same number he got in Excel.
He never changed his formula once in 13 years.
Today his line says Bitcoin should be at $99K.
It's at $81K.
Here's where his line says it goes next:
Late 2029: ~$510K
2030: ~$175K
2033: ~$1.1M

Bitcoin got rejected at $82.5K five times in 24 hours.
And traders keep adding longs anyway.
Open interest on Binance is up 3,100 BTC since yesterday’s low at $79.8K.
Price is flat over the same period.
All that new leverage is just sitting in the range.
Funding is positive, so most of it is long.
Top traders on Binance flipped back to long this morning.
Their long/short ratio went from 1.29 to 1.47 in 13 hours.
Now look at who is actually buying spot.
Coinbase premium is at its weekly low.
Spot ETFs are net negative this week.
So leverage is chasing longs while real money is selling.
An hour ago price broke below $81.7K, the bottom of today’s range.
The first long liquidation cluster sits at $80.4K to $81.3K.
Below that is yesterday’s low at $79.8K.
My plan is simple.
I expect one more flush into $80K to clear these longs.
That’s where I want to buy.
After that, the first target is $83K to $83.5K, where the short liquidations are.

Yesterday I warned about a sweep below $80K, and so far we're right on track.
✅ Chop
✅ Liquidity grab below $80K, low at $79,800
⏳ Short squeeze into $84.4K-$85K
The crowd never believed in the drop.
The account long/short ratio on Binance climbed from 1.33 to 1.82, and those longs got wiped out.
But look at who bought the bounce.
Futures bought about 5,300 BTC on the way up. Spot bought about 200.
US buyers showed up for one hour, with Coinbase premium jumping from -$105 to almost zero, then faded back near -$100.
Without real spot demand, the main obstacle is the 30-day Rolling VWAP at $82.9K.
That's where most of this month's buyers get back to breakeven, and many will want out.
If we hold above $83K and spot buying finally kicks in, price will most likely push into $84.4K-$85K.
A rejection from $83K puts $79.8K back in play.

After yesterday's fake breakdown, price went sideways and most people decided the liquidity below was gone and the only way was up.
CPI said otherwise: -2.2% in three hourly candles, from $83.5K to $81.6K.
But look at who was selling.
Spot barely sold. Futures did the damage.
OI rose by 2,400 BTC during the drop while funding flipped negative.
Those are fresh shorts, not longs closing.
Meanwhile retail on Binance rushed to catch the knife. The account long/short ratio jumped from 1.33 to 1.69.
So long liquidity is building up below price again.
My scenario: chop first, a sweep below the obvious $80K support, then a squeeze into the short cluster at $84.4K-$85K.

$BTC followed yesterday's plan.
I said fake move down, $80K holds, then a push toward $84.3K.
Price swept to $81K, never touched $80K and ripped straight to $84.1K.
The bounce came on falling OI.
That was shorts covering, not new longs chasing.
Then price went sideways around $83.3K and OI climbed back by about 2,000 BTC.
At the same time Binance retail long/short dropped from 1.50 to 1.25.
Retail is opening fresh shorts into the chop.
Top traders are still sitting at 1.57 long.
Funding is flat, so longs aren't crowded.
All those new shorts are stacked right under the biggest liquidation cluster on the heatmap at $84.4K-$84.7K.
My call for CPI tomorrow:
A quick shakeout toward $82.2K-$82.5K first.
Then a run into $84.4K-$84.7K to clear those shorts.
Invalidation is a daily close below $82.2K.
Lose it and $80.3K is next.
