Since 2000, Baydons Meadow Wildlife Group has transformed scrubland, owned by @ChipboroughLC, next to the River Avon, into a hay meadow.

Our regular day for working in the meadow is the first Sunday each month. (There's plenty to do at other times ;-))

Come down to Baydons Meadow this Friday to learn about and see all sorts of bats and moths. We’ll have bat detectors to use and some moths to see up close. Great event to bring the kids to.

Meet at 8.30pm on Friday, 30th August, by the interpretation board and log seat near the cycle path and blue footbridge over the Avon.

Michael Sammes, amateur-lepidopterist of our group, will talk about and show us any moths that visit the moth-trap and white sheet that he will put out. He’ll also reveal moths that he has identified and temporarily captured (then released)

About 50 metres of encroaching scrub cleared today @baydonsmeadow. Hopefully giving the flowers a chance to once again make an appearance.
