Nintendo announced Takashi Tezuka will be retiring from his role as Executive Officer as of June 26th.
Over 40+ years at Nintendo, he worked on every 2D Mario game (except Land), every Pikmin game, many Zelda games, Luigi's Mansion, Yoshi's Island, and so much more.

To put that into context, that's about 34.6 million people still love playing retro-games.
