The US networks use UK announcers and elitist soccer fans dismiss MLS in favor of EPL. Americans view British as soft so they won’t get fully on board until it’s Americanized.

@tvjoe12 @NikkiNic9384 For comparison a #6 seed in the NFL playoffs (last AFC/NFC wildcard spot) has only won the superbowl 2 times in history. That’s the equivalent of the 11th/12th best NFL team. USA entered #16 so the talent gap may be similar, but I agree the 8 game slate is more challenging

@EinSchwarzwelt If you look at the FIFA rankings of teams in CONMEBOL & CONCACAF, the distribution is pretty close for the Top 10 with 4 teams from CONCACAF and 6 from CONMEBOL. I wouldn’t consider that watered down. Would actually be adding better teams to the top half of your confederation.
