@MPopaholic@ChEng680@JoJoFromJerz Tell that to the people of Yemen. Essentially the same thing happened as in Ukraine, but trump gleefully sold SA weapons, even above the unanimous objection if Congress. That's how much he values money over life.
@adamson539 @_jewelsLipps @TheJCI1@RepSwalwell I wonder when the FBI-planning-the-riot story started coming out. It's weird seeing all these people and orgs who were staunchly conservative for decades suddenly painted as far left. How/when/why did they all switch parties?
Except that SSLs are file/server-specific. But SSLs are also simple text files. With a plaintext editor, (like Notepad), you can go in and edit the server/filename of the file being referenced. The SSL can then point to the found set in the live file on the live server. 2/2
Test copy of a @clarisofficial#filemaker system is hosted on test server. A user might test out a process on the test server, resulting in a found set of records. Now the user wants to move that found set to the live server. Sounds like a job for Snapshot Link (SSL), right? 1/2
@FmpApps Are you talking about the trick where you create a value list, FM yells at you that the global isn't indexed, but you just ignore it and save it and it works anyway? (e.g. https://t.co/pdg2Bl6EXO on @FileMakerHacks blog ?)
We’ve had the option for a List summary-type for several versions, but the Replace Field Contents trick has the advantage that you don’t need to make schema changes. And it’s usually quite fast.
On the recent episode of @filemakertalk they mentioned the Replace Field Contents trick that I first learned from Bruce Robertson. I’ve used this script step as a found-set-data-collector for ages, and still do so. @mattpetrowsky @mattnavarrepdx #filemaker
https://t.co/SZphA1tyMm Great news for/from #claris and #filemaker . Of course as any dev will tell you, as soon as you quickly build that low-code app, your excited client will immediately start asking for high(er)-code reporting and data manipulation. Which is also good news.
Recently "changed" my hourly rates ( not that I use them anyway, I don't bill by the hour ), but it's amazing to see how often people go straight for that last option.
My experimental-music alternative persona recently released a new album. Part music, part sound-design. Here is a quick excerpt from it if you are curious. https://t.co/TAviBygkVR
The ability to drop a CSV into the FM app, instantly create a #filemaker database, and then build relationships to/from it, has been an indispensable tool for data migration / data massage, etc.
