@Bigqadi Me. 2012. NYC for the first time in my life. Landed in the afternoon, didn’t have to work until the following morning, stayed out until about 1am just walking around Manhattan, steak dinner on my own.
One of the best memories of my life. Same in Shanghai a couple years later.
@PaulMcG1992 No doubt this is one of those moments in life that @MBrundleF1 absolutely relished at the time, and really savours to this day - a chance to give his great friend, and legend of the sport, an experience he no doubt never forgot.
Wonderful. ❤️
@DarnellTheGeek@CUMG1VER@MrPotatoHeadUSA What you mean? It’s literally 90% of this video - white ppl messing with animals letting them bite them etc. Not just diseases, whites started most BS - deforestation, climate change etc - started hundreds of years ago chopping down trees to build boats to go get niggas.
@PhoenixTv01@BSAT_Properties@_heisdexter My first experience of how unserious Nigeria is was back in the early 90s. I was 10, taxi from Uyo to Enugu with my older sister & her friend. Asked the driver “u have AC?” “Yes”. 25mins into the journey, AC packs up. Then he had to sell a bunch of his cassettes to pay for fuel.
@EyeswideDr@SchizAesthetic@ReggiSaxx@Tyre_94 Sure, some of Chase’s opinions are blatant. “American taxpayers will pay for airport security, look how well that’s going”, “we need to break our dependence on foreign oil” etc. I’m not talking about that.
It shows corruption throughout the church, education system, government.
@EyeswideDr@SchizAesthetic@ReggiSaxx@Tyre_94 Yes, on the surface, the Sopranos is a character driven show, but the sub-text is hugely rooted in social commentary, among other things. It’s largely subtle, occasionally overt.
It does a great job of showing how crime and corruption permeates every section of society.
@EyeswideDr@SchizAesthetic@ReggiSaxx@Tyre_94 Myriad examples:
-The corruption in government via HUD scam and how it directly affects the local population “are there going to be some nice houses here now?”
-The final montage of Season 2
-Entirely unsubtle criticism of the Bush administration
-The American family unit
Japanese TV commentators reporting the death of Ayrton Senna on May 1, 1994. You don´t have to understand a single word of the language to see their grief.
Remembering Roland Raztenberger who tragically passed, 32 years ago today - 30th April 1994 - after a crash during qualifying for the San Marino Grand Prix. #F1
