Indiscriminate selling across the board (supply chain etc). I am trying to discipline approach to review the company (ignoring share price) and ask - do I want to own this company? If the answer is yes, sit tight. Rarely come out better by trying to adjust.
#BOO and others (e.g. #ASOS) experiencing similar headwinds. I like BOO's diversification strategy within clothing & homeware. If they become a platform marketplace catering to a wide demographic then I see success.
@wheeliedealer similar view to you. BOO has been a painful hold for a while, but still believe in it longer term. A lot of naysayers feel justified, but overall metrics still feel good. Will see! I'm not betting the house on it so I can live with being wrong.
@wheeliedealer Thanks for the input! I saw you had initiated a hedge a few days ago just above 7,000 - wish I had as well, smart move on a day like today!
@_JosephWilks That was a frustratingly vague trading update for what is a jittery market! Their products are already expensive, so wonder how much elasticity in further price increases. It’s a hobby but as a customer do you really think you’re getting value for money even at current prices?
@MBroomSmith Feel the same way. Also at risk of over-trading. It's hard watching some positions steadily drift whilst other shares fly. I'm looking at you #BOO. I'm going to take a refreshed look at each of my holdings over the weekend to confirm conviction
Savage SP derating for #ASOS and #BOO this year. Confluence of variety of factors: Shein threat, supply chain issues (less for #BOO), ESG, market rotation out of covid beneficiary stocks. I still believe in #BOO longer term. Earning release end of September a key date.
