@BuckNaked069 I don’t know, Pablo Sandoval, Carl Crawford, Anthony Rendon, Josh Hamilton, BJ Upton. There are a whole pile of worse contracts around, that fell flat from day one. Vlad is struggling, but he hasn’t given up all together. Way too early to write him off.
@jonbecker_ He has the stuff. I’m not saying he’s Mariano Rivera, but Mo made a career on 2 pitches that people knew were coming. As a closer Hoff needs to hone 2 or 3 pitches that he can master, and he could be a dominant closer. It’s more mental at this point for him. I wish him well.
@LetsGoFishing73 Honestly, all these guys need to hustle to 1st. I don’t care if it’s Vladdy or Heineman. You’re getting paid handsomely to play the game, play it right. Too many opportunities missed from lack of hustle. Time to bench people and make accountability a priority.
@Mookalicious I think top brass have him obliged to use guys that he doesn’t have confidence in. If he doesn’t have others to use, Hoffman, Rodriguez and Seabold will be rolled out there as every fan braces for the worst possible outcome.
@Bwprincess72 When Rodriguez, Hoffman or Seabold, come out of that dugout, it’s always a role of the dice. Could be ok, could be bad, could be really bad, but I never feel like it will be good. I don’t know if Schneider is obligated to use these guys, but they don’t get job done.
@Section524 It’s just frustrating how many weak groundouts and gidp these guys hit into. Rally kill after rally kill. 2nd and 3rd no outs into 3 outs and 0 runs scored.
@DominicDs34 Or if they had pinch hit someone with pop like Ty France, who sat around for basically the entire playoffs, could have been a surprise hero.
@JaysDigestYT Comments here are saying low leverage situations, but you can’t really get much more low leverage than starting an inning with a 4 run lead. That being said, he needs to be the 6th or 7th inning guy as he’s been great in those situations.
@FulIMeasures No more excuses, no more chances. He was in a low pressure situation, and still blew it. If a 4 run lead is too much then he needs to be shown the door. These sure fire wins cannot be wasted any more. Something has to change.
@clarkisking1 Lack of true quality free agents saw teams hastily give out these big contracts. Kyle Tucker is good, Bo Bichette is good, but not for $60 and $40 million respectively. Hopefully this group can turn it around.
