Bolton by Bowland Church of England Primary School
@BbBSchool
We are a small school set in the idyllic village of Bolton by Bowland, in the Ribble Valley. We are proud to say that we are at the heart of the community.
We are SO lucky to have access to an orchard that the whole school helped to plant and can use on a regular basis. During our recent visit we observed seasonal changes.....and picked a few apples!
Mrs A has been busy collecting signs of the season for the Class 3 seasonsill. The children were able to explain the role that all the seeds play in the lifecycle of the plant. Fabulous!
As you think about bringing your Year 6 child to school for the last time tomorrow just remember the following........ and enjoy it. Well done to all our Year 6 leavers. We are immensely proud of you all.
Mr Holden and all the staff.
Day 2 of our Wellbeing Garden development and how well does it look? Sleeper benches installed for the amphitheatre and a scattering of bark to keep the weeds at bay. Huge thank you to BR & JR Cornthwaite, Matt Smith, Railside Trading-Gisburn, @DugdaleMerchant @RHSSchools
Today we spent time thinking about what we could say to the England football team to cheer them up! We all really enjoyed the tournament and want to say a huge thank you to the footballers for getting us so far! We think you were all VERY brave for taking the penalties!
That is one way to have some ‘downtime’ from school work. A pleasure spending time with the year 5 and 6 children at @RealRobinwood Dobroyd castle this afternoon. Even if it did involve a puncture en route. Have a great time everyone. #outdoored#wildfun
Move over BBC news! This is the BBB news! We have written(and expertly presented) our news reports that are full of fabulous features! Well done everyone!
Fraction addition and subtraction drills rated into easy (green), harder (amber) and hardest (red). We were all able to explain WHY we rated them like this too! Fabulous skills everyone!
We rode our bikes round a challenging track in our grounds this morning. We looked at some British Cycling records. WOW! They can ride their bikes fast! We practised rounding their times and distances to the nearest whole, tenth and hundredth. Great skills! @BritishCycling
